We had the tacos and taco salad, best Mexican Restaurant we have ever been to. I highly recommend anything with the shredded beef. Every plate at the table was cleaned. I wish they were closer to my house, I would live here! I don't know how they don't have higher score, this place was great and worth giving them a chance.

Me and my boyfriend ordered the Baja fish/ Shrimp tacos Both tacos were dry the fish felt reheated. The rice that came with the platter Looked like it was a week old, and the beans look like they are freezer burned, Definitely not authentic food. The drinks were great, other than that we waited forever to get a waiter to the Table. Honestly I would come back for the margaritas but nothing else.
Loving this place! If you’re looking for authentic medican food, Casa Tequila is the best. There are so many menu options and combinations. Their chips are one of the best. Their guac is creamy! Their drinks are delish and the restaurant design is so pretty. I love going there in the summer, sit on the patio enjoying the fountain and live music.
Great atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside since the weather was so nice out. Food was decent, not writing home to abuela about but the margaritas, I will say were very nice. I had the Diablo margarita and I enjoyed the spiciness of it.The wife and I split the steak burrito. The steak was cooked well but was unfortunately lacking flavor. The rice and beans were good.I will say, the service was above par. Super friendly, helpful and very attentive. The location is good if you're walking around Salem.
My family and I chose this restaurant because of the high level of recommendations about it on YouTube videos about Salem, Massachusetts. As far as the food went, it was very acceptable, and for some dishes, very good. We had an excellent grilled shrimp salad, a good taco salad, and an excellent burrito combination plate. Tacos and taco salad SHOULD come with salsa. Again, we had to beg for salsa. But in a Mexican restaurant, the food isn’t the whole story. Every town in America has a good Mexican restaurant now, and everyone knows the way a good one operates. The service at Casa Tequila is terrible. In a facility that only had two tables running, the waitress could not keep us in water or other drinks, couldn’t focus on our requests for chips and salsa, or even visit our table very often. Replenishment of chips & salsa was an added cost, which should be complimentary, but when we agreed to pay for that replenishment, should have come at a fast & furious rate. That didn’t happen either. To get paid up at the end of our visit, we had to go down to the register, because the wait staff was so inattentive, that we would be there still if we had waited on her. Speaking of the check, it was high, this place is pricy. The margaritas were excellent, but very expensive. I won’t be back here, and suggest no one else goes either. On the other hand, the town of Salem is just now (first of June 2022) waking up from Covid, and service all over town was low for our entire visit, so perhaps if you give them time, they will improve. As for me, I’ll never find out, I’m not going back.
The friendly servers at this Mexican restaurant serve tasty food with lots of options and good drinks. There is a spacious indoors (two floors) with a nice patio outside the first floor. It's in a great location.
