We had one of our best meals in our four day visit right here at the Brothers Traverna. The guys were great and constantly on top of our needs, even though there were only three of them working in the entire restaurant. The bruschetta was so fresh, and the garlic mussels were perfect. The oreo cake was to die for!
This was our favorite meal while in town!First and foremost, our server was excellent. It’s my fault for not jotting down her name so I’d remember it, but she was on top of things and did a stellar job taking care of us, neither felt rushed nor neglected.The mussels were the best I’ve ever had— the sauce was incredible.. garlicky, hints of acidity from the white wine and lemon, little hit of tomato… just... I'm drooling.We both got omelets, the meat lovers. Very, very good with nice ingredients and on point preparation!! I’m not a huge fan of diced breakfast style potatoes usually, but these were enjoyable, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Toast with omelets was good, as was that of which served with mussels.How could I forget, our Bloody Marys and dirty martinis were also amazing!!Aside from gaining 20 pounds in one meal and not having room to eat for the next 24 hours following our visit, we were so happy with this spot! Too busy enjoying to take more than a simple photo.
Can’t say enough about how great our experience was here! Great variety on the menu and an extensive cocktail menu. Our waitress, Ali, was incredibly polite and friendly and contributed greatly to our overall experience. The food and cocktails were remarkable and prepared impeccably. We’ll be back anytime we’re in the area in the future.
This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a large and varied menu, great service, and really good food. Highly recommended!

Food tasted good but….. my sourdough toast was moldy….. I showed the waitress and she took 20% off of the bill but….. they added a $6 “open food” charge so………
Hidden gem on derby street. We wandered in and were so happy we did! Staff is super friendly and the pumpkin ravioli starter is to die for! The veggie panini was nice and highly recommend the warm cookie for dessert. Really great staff! Professional and welcoming. Full bar available, too.
Always get something delicious when I come here. My first time coming was years ago and I always have a great experience. The people are always friendly and they have a big seating area. I like the cafeteria style too. Prices aren’t bad. Totally recommend.
I got the classic eggs Benedict and it was good. Nothing really special. The food and drink menu are huge, definitely something for everyone. The environment is great, staff was super nice. It was too cold to sit outside but it looks like they have outdoor seating when appropriate. I would definitely go back.
Great place in the heart of Salem. Inside was bright, lots of TVs if you want to watch something. Service was quick and efficient, food was very good. Would go again for sure. I had a breakfast burrito, which I could only finish half. The addition of the fried cherry peppers in the calamari was excellent. Next time I'm getting one of those signature Portuguese dishes!
