My mothers' day dinner here was perfect in every way! There were plenty of vegan options for the two of us that were vegetarian - I had a hearty lentil stew and my husband had the falafel plate. My omnivore son ordered a lamb shank smothered in apricot and fig sauce, with pearled couscous on the side. All of the dishes were five-star delicious and we only wished we had saved room for the desserts that our kind and attentive waitress described for us. The decor and Moroccan music playing softly gave us a pleasant break from the bustle of downtown Salem. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!
Had a very nice dinner there recently. Staff was kind and courteous. Had the Moroccan salad and then we split the steak frites but ordered veggies instead (keto) and it was all delicious.
This place has potential, just needs some polish.They are very short staffed. I think this resulted in a less than stellar experience. It took over 20 mins to get a cold appetizer out to the table. The ambience could use a bit of help, as they were blasting a funky mix of 80s Richard Simmons workout music, while the TV in the bar audibly played the movie Wedding Crashers.They brought us some bread and oil which was good. The falafel was tasty. The eggplant was unbearably salty. The Lamb tagine was good with the couscous.Could benefit from a visit from Gordon Ramsey.

Blue Fez was wonderful. Brianna, the staff person was warm and sincere and lovely. She made a great cocktail and sweet conversation. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. It was nice to go to a restaurant with a little colorful atmosphere. So many others are plain dull and boring in decor, but not here. This is a place that welcomes! I cannot wait to go back and become a regular !
Over-priced and just awful! We started with an appetizer ...The Cigar Sampler. A trio of 3 - Honey & Brie, Beef & Pears, and Spinach & feta rolls. The tray arrived with all Spinach & Feta rolls. We inquired with the waitress...she replied that they had run out of options in the kitchen and didn't tell her. Needless to say very disappointing and the majority of the rolls were not consumed. Dinner arrived, looked appealing. However, it was horrible. The beef was dry and incredibly chewy, no flavor at all. The vegetables were of the frozen mixed variety, you know the kind...square carrots and peas, served over a clump of broth based couscous. This meal did not get touched after the initial couple of bites. The waitress was not at all concerned that her party was not eating, nor did she seemed surprised when the to-go boxes were declined. The atmosphere is also less than desirable, most definitely not a Moroccan vibe. As a Salem fans, we travel over 4 hours to visit often through out the year. There are so many wonderful restaurants. HIGHLY RECOMMEND... BELLA VERONA, THE HOWLING WOLF, RED'S, THE SOUP FACTORY...such great gems! Skip this one!

First off the owner is rude and has no class.Went there in the summer of 2021 with my husband the food was good and the waiter although busy was friendly and we were patient. Some of the food was under cooked they offered something else as a replacement. We love a good restaurant and understand things happen.We decided to go back all the way from Boston in October. The owner told my husband we may as well not even wait?? As we stood there in disbelief the waitress told us it was the owner that made this comment. She said if we waited she’d make sure we were seated, they were short staffed. We waited 25 minutes and she got us in apologized for the rude behave of the owner and took our order. The food wasn’t as good this time. At the end of the dinner she too was crying because he was verbally abusing her.. no wonder your short staffed. Close the doors until you’ve learned how to treat people. We won’t be back, nor will anyone that ask us about this place. ?? The bill was $140And as I see the owner responded with more rudeness and verbal abuse instead of knowing the customer is always right. You could have made this right… Good day to you sir
Good food, efficient and friendly service! A nice change of pace compared to the typical dining options in Salem.
As always the food is excellent which is to be expected. The waitress was awesome and the atmosphere is great highly recommend!
