Probably should have got the roast beef but we didn't we got a fish sandwich off of the recommendation of a local who no longer lives around here and really thought we should get the fish sandwich. Don't do it lol It was really boring lol but the stand itself is wonderful and nostalgic and the staff in there is great and they're doing an incredible job and there was lots of things on the menu that look like they would be delicious. If I ever found myself in this area again I would probably go back for the roast beef lol
Went there for my 89-year-old father to get a pastrami sandwich as he played on the beach as a kid. Roast beef and pastrami were good but the fried clams and clam chowder were to die for! Wish I'd gotten only just those, sit outside it was lovely
Apologies but this place is simply average at best. I get it though...after being under the sun or playing in the water, you tend to get hungry but Kelly's is simply another quick stop, fried food place. I've had better everything and customer service depends on whose working, how many people are in line and whether it's a week day or weekend. Plenty of other spots to try. Hygiene lacks on the part of the employees as the washing of hands is scarce.
Horrible horrible horrible bunch of busters I go to the window I stand there literally watching a girl put lip gloss on her lips Jefin with another person none of them see me standing there she don’t even wash your hands after she puts the lipgloss very nasty and unprofessional you just lost my $50 order have a good night keep putting that lipgloss on and then don’t even wash your hands afterwards
The clam plate. I get a craving for this every so often (more often then I'd like) and if you have ever had it then you know exactly what I'm talking about. So good.
THE BEST CLAM PLATES IN BOSTON!!! Great price, quality and portions especially when compared to Ipswich's! I always miss it when I leave the US :(
Decent roast beef. Went with a large 3 way ( cheese, bbq sauce and mayo). Not as good quality as a north shore beef, but not a terrible sandwich. Large was around $11. My wife got a veggie wrap which was actually delicious!!
No longer quality guaranteed. You may have a good meal, or it may be horrible. And being a coin toss nowadays makes the cost of eating here not worth the risk. Went from a favorite to an avoided place to eat.
Haven for anti-vaxers. Never going here again. If you want the best roast beef in Mass go to Mike's in Everett on Rt99.
Had the Clam and Scallop Combo Plate at Kelly's Roast Beef. The price was reasonable but the quality was lacking. Besides clams and scallops, the plate had french fries and onion rings and was good size. However, both the clams and scallops were disappointing. The clams were quite small and overcooked while the scallops were overbreaded and not that moist or tasty. Expected better!
