Pretty pricey for serving size.Tartar dispenser was a positive for me.Outdoor seating is also nice.But a con is that the outdoor seating is located right outside a freeway so can get a lot noise and vehicle pollution, but can see the city at night which is nice.Food was okay but lacking in flavoring.
Stepping into The Clam Box is like stepping into the "good old days" old people always talk about. You get the feeling this place hasn't really changed in the past couple of years, but in a good way. They've stayed true to what they are, which is a great place to grab something to eat during a day at the beach. Food is uncomplicated but tasty, and service is friendly. Seats are clean, views are great, and there is little to distract you from your family or friends or whoever you're with, outside of your phones. Still, if you're ever on Wollaston Beach, be sure to stop by and relax for a bit.
Had a family event in Quincy near this place. I say hey let's try it. The outside area looked empty and then I walked in and it was packed. The service was great and while I had my food to go it easily became the best sea food I've had in a very long time. Hats off to all those guys. The food was so good I considered driving all the way from Lowell back to Quincy; even with these silly gas prices.and traffic.
Ate here for the first time today. Nice clean place, well laid out, seating has nice view of the harbor. Food was a little pricey, but that's everywhere these days. Staff was friendly, ordering was easy, and food came out fast. Good portions for the money. Didn't leave hungry. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Will definitely eat here again.
Food and service were good. Typical beach shack feeling with worn tables and building in disrepair. Outside seating available. Great location. Prices seem about the same as Tony's down the street.
Everything was really good fresh tasty the fries coleslaw and onion rings, the fish was fresh and not greasy at all, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the fish portion was very skimpy very thin more batter than fish especially for the price.
Arrived at 7:15 pm closes at 8pm. First sunny day and the line was out the door and around the corner! Took about 25 minutes to get to order, yet the Staff were friendly and it must have been a grueling long day. They have a fast efficient system and food was as usual fresh and delicious
Opening day was yesterday (3/4/22) and we were there! The Clam Box has always been my favorite. We get the three-way w/ fried clam strips, (4) shrimp and fish w/ fries and cole slaw. It's more expensive this year, but prices are going up on everything. I love sitting by the water and enjoying my meal. Let the season begin!
Best seafood on the north shore!!! Cant wait for seasonal reopening, there is not one thing on the menu I don’t love. Food is always made fresh and staff is super friendly. Highly recommend Clam Box if your in the Ipswich area
