Always enjoy stopping here for a quick bite or drinks with friends. The menu always have delicious food and the drinks are always rotating so get to try something new each visit. The employees are awesome and always a good time. One of my favorite spots in Quincy!
The owner showed awareness of a food sensitivity, which was greatly appreciated, and the drinks and atmosphere were good. Other than that, the experience was below average. Our server was extremely inattentive and completely disappeared once our food orders were put in. We didnât see her again for the rest of the night. We went almost the entire meal without water, since it was impossible to flag anyone down, even though there were only 3 tables sat in the whole restaurants. The food was mediocre - the wings were dry and bland and the chicken sandwich was mainly breading with very minimal chicken. Regardless, we ended up tipping 20%, which didnât feel deserved, especially since our server was completely MIA. I would say these issues are just normal growing pains, but I believe the restaurant has been open for quite a while so not sure what to attribute these issues to. That said, we will not be back and hope others have a better experience than we did.
This is my 4th time at Idle Hour. The owner really cares about serving the community. It is his only restaurant so he is very much invested. The food is very creative, like nothing I've ever seen before. Because it's a scratch kitchen, the menu changes weekly. The staff are very friendly, and seem to thoroughly enjoy their employment.

Amazing spot! Absolutely everything, food and drink, is hand crafted. The flavors they choose are extremely intentional. Their menu is always evolving, but I trust their chef will always have something new and delicious for you to try @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)
This place is amazing the owner is a delight. I don't write a lot of reviews I only write them if I feel the need for someone to experience the place. Found this place traveling back to Boston to fly out. Everything about this place is amazing the food, the ambience, we sat for many hours just letting the owner and bar keep use their imagination and making me anything their hearts desired it didn't disappoint. Every drink kept getting better and better. talk to Matt he will take the time to make you feel at home. How ever your mood is he's able to adjust and make you laugh. If you want to drink your sorrow away he's got you if you want story time he's got you. If you want banter in any way shape or form he's got you. You have to check out all the bathrooms. He has put a lot of time and personal touches and thoughts into this. Tell him the southerner's sent you . You will get a laugh I promise.
Staff was super friendly and attentive, positive vibes all around. Some of the best cocktails Iâve ever had. Food was okay, not the best Iâve had. Definitely the best spot in the area for quality cocktails and excellent service!
The drinks and service were very good. Waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was good and plentiful. The two cocktails we had weâre excellent.
My burger was great, mussels were good as well. My friend tried the Nashville sandwich, it was yummy but maybe too hot for our liking (i tried a piece) to finish it all. The drinks were tasty as well, especially the quincy one.
