I had a TERRIBLE experience here. Prior to coming I was so excited and enthusiastic about trying out this restaurant. My server was a man and he treated me and my friends terribly. The service was so unpleasant I wanted to immediately hurry up and finish my food so I can exit the building. He aggressively explained to me that I could not get my lamb chops “medium plus” the only options I had was medium or well done. I never had a waiter tell me such things before, I thought the choice of how I want my meat cooked was up to me, not only giving his 2 options. I seen him speak and treat other patrons respectively and nicely but yet me and my friends rude and just rushing us out of the place. Moral of the story this place is NOT for minorities apparently, that’s what I got out of this (we was the only ones at the time in there). I would NEVER come to this establishment again, the food isn’t even top quality and the service is even worst!
Attended a seminar in the 2nd floor dining area. Food was superb...staff was perfect. Acoustics definitely a challenge...would have liked to leave after an hour....too much hearing challenges... carpets on the floor or some other noise canceling media would have definitely helped. As far as women's restroom went...a seat that was fully attached might have been a plus. This was a seminar...not a retail dining experience...Food was definitely 5 *. Staff was definitely 5*.
My friends and I went to dinner Saturday what a fantastic dinner. We started with drinks the appetizers. Tuna tartare and calamari both were incredible the main course was ribeyes mashed potatoes and mushrooms The ribeyes were cooked perfectly. They were so tender they melted in your mouth.
We went to Alba for dinner and we were not disappointed. From the servers to the food it was an excellent experience. I wish it was warmer so could be on the roof deck but inside was extremely comfortable. We started with drinks then appetizers we had tuna tartare the tuna tartare was incredible, we also also had the calamari which was tasty and delicious. The only thing that could improve the calamari would have been a side of sauce. For the main course we had ribeyes. These were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert.
This place was so amazing and accommodating. Went here to celebrate my sister's birthday and the staff was incredibly flexible from reservations to food allergies to creating an amazing dining ambiance. Our waiter, Alissa, was patient and answered all our questions and recommended an amazing moscato as well as being able to get us last minute dessert even after after the kitchen has closed. Their portions are worth the price (my chicken was huuuge) and their salmon and calamari was to die for. Didn't try their steak this time around but will deffinetly be back for that.
Nice atmosphere, lots of people. Traditional steakhouse menu. The staff was efficient... Not really friendly, but not rude .. Just down to business. I had the filet, cooked properly, but very bland. They could use a selection of salts to help with that. My wife had the swordfish .. It was over cooked, the waitress did warn that it would be. Side of asparagus was good. Had the chocolate cake for two .. It was really for four, it seemed like it may have been a few days old..a little dry... Not served with whip cream, just berries for garnish. I was hoping for more from Alba
I have been here multiple times and sat in all the rooms and rooftop bar. The rooftop is very nice, with a full bar and tv, perfect for warm days. The two different dining areas in the interior have different vibes, one is simply a nice retaurant and the other side has a bit more of a bar vibe. It can be a bit confusing to find the main entrance as there is a big glass slide door that stays locked. The main door is on the corner. ALBA and Zef cicchetti are part of the same restaurant so it pops up as both when you search it. The servers have always been attentive without rushing. The food was DELICIOUS. I'm a big seafood lover and the raw bar/seafood options do not disappoint. I can recommend Crab cakes and raw oysters for an appetizer. These were the best raw oysters I've ever had. For entrees I can recommend the Diavolo linguine and the grilled octopus. Both were very tasty. I highly recommend getting and order of truffle fries because they are addictive. It all paired nicely with a Chianti red wine. I will for sure come here again on date night. Suitable for solo, friends, families and dates. More upscale and pricey of a setting but well worth it in the food!
The food is really good!!! The service was perfect the only thing is they can be more elegant but the space is a little small for a lot table and little bit loud
It was our first time there! We loved it! It was perfect - we came at a quiet lunch time and enjoyed the elegant athmosphere and very good food! We will definitely be back.We tried soups, regular and lamb burgers and chicken parmesan. We also had a bottle of prosecco and lemonades. Everything was great! It seems the server was just starting out and still learning, but was pleasant and did a good job in general...In the summer they are using a roof top for dining - something I should experience, too.
Went on Monday night and it was really good, but there was no music or anything playing, and with the tables nearby, you could hear all the conversations because there was 5-6 tables full (we went right after new years, a slow week in general), was just a little uncomfortable having a quiet dinner lol. Everything else was great. Service awesome.
