If you’re a soft serve fan, Ziggy’s is a required stop in Plymouth. Their waffle cones are great. The service is friendly. While you’re waiting, you have a great view of the Harbor. There’s a reason this place has been open for over 45 years!
On our way up to the Cape this summer, we stopped in Plymouth and wanted to eat lunch at a place quicker than a sit down restaurant since we weren’t planning on staying long, just wanted to do some sightseeing. We honestly may have been better off going to a sit down restaurant with how long it took us here. They desperately needed to work on their system of how they were taking orders and managing the grill. When we got up to the counter, she asked us if we would be ordering any ice cream with our meal, which we said yes, we wanted the fried dough ice cream sundae. She said she would make that for us first, which we didn’t really want before our meal, but it didn’t seem like we had a choice. So, we ended up having to eat the whole sundae before our lunch because it was melting on the hot fried dough. When we finally got our lunch, the French fries had been left in the frier for way too long, and everything was just subpar. It’s too bad, because it was a cute spot.
