Amazing food! Amazing wait staff! Really couldn't have had anything better after 4 hours of a fun whale watching experience!!!
We visited the town of Plymouth and we wanted to try some local food. We hit the jackpot! Excellent crab cakes, yummy huge beer-battered onion rings, and crispy/moist haddock. My husband had the clam chowder and said it was in his top four of great tasting chowders. Staff was super friendly and a great view of the wharf — Great service and fun music!
My sweet husband tried so hard with this place. As a native Texan that travels the country year-round, I had been craving biscuits and gravy. He found the Shanty Rose, which was on our way to PTown.We immediately noticed this is very obviously a popular place by how packed the parking lot was. Once we entered, we also noticed every single table was full, and there was a few people in front of us to be seated. We decided that we would wait. We knew we were about to be in food heaven.We waited about 30 minutes or so, and finally, the table was cleaned and ready for us to sit. The waitress had many tables, but still made sure that we were property attended to. The coffee was fantastic. Downside: they had biscuits and gravy a year ago supposedly, but they no longer offer it. Bummer, right? WRONG. This place has the best pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon.Make sure you hit this place for breakfast and lunch if you get the chance. It is worth the wait.
The servers are GREAT. On Thursday, they have karaoke night. A lot of fun Everyone there makes you feel welcome.
Lunch was great my boys loved the burgers and the stuffed quahog had good flavor and it’s a clean place
There are too few places like this these days. Very adequate food in an intimate dive bar atmosphere on the ocean. What's not to love?
