Food was OK. Place was cold as hell, they must have the AC at 60? Didn't enjoy meal because of it.
I have gone a number of times the past few months.Am always pleased. The food and drink I have gotten has always been good. The hostess always remembers us and my twin grandsons when they are with me.There wasn't any fruit options for them on the menu.( they are vegetarian) ,but the kitchen made this wonderful fruit plate.I would like to see some small lights around the bar.I think that would make it pop.
We had heard good things about the place, so we decided to drop in there yesterday about 1:00. Pretty quiet. We were seated right away at a high top as we asked. Hostess was very nice. Our server seemed a little new, and that's OK. I got chicken fingers with buff on the side. The wife got the fish and chips. We also got a side of O-rings. The fingers seemed pre-fab with a slightly odd taste, and the rings definitely were(frozen). The fish was Cod and edible. With a fish market up the street, you'd think they could make a deal to get something better. Ordered a Sip of Sunshine. No offer of a glass or mug. For $9 you should get a glass. Like another review said, Tavern on the Wharf is darn good, and this place should step it up a little. I don't believe we'll be going back, but you can try it for yourself...
Better food.Chicken Parm was awful
10/10 experience for a family w toddlers. Very kind and made the whole experience so comfortable and easy (and it was a pretty busy sunday afternoon and still went very smoothly). Pizza, fries, wings, and fish tacos were all great. Jillian was so sweet and wonderful-so much so that as we were leaving my one year old ran over to her and hugged her?. So hard to find places that are welcoming to small kids. We went in hesitant how it would go w a 3 and 1yr old, and now were excited to have a “goto” place so close. We will be back! Thank you!!
Thought I would share thoughts of my lunch at Public House in Manomet today while they are fresh in my mind.I am a regular patron of Sea Dog Brew Pub in Yarmouth as I live in Dennis on the Cape and I love that restaurant. The Public House is owned by the same owners of Sea Dog.We decided to meet our two daughters at Public House today to celebrate a birthday and give the restaurant a try.The service was impeccable Natalie our server was great. The Manager Jill came over to check on our meal and she was very pleasant. The atmosphere was great, but most notably everyone was upbeat, pleasant, and all went out of their way to say hello and all seemed genuinely concerned with making this a very enjoyable experience for our party. Now for the best part, the food. In our party of five, two of us including me ordered the salmon burger. I consider myself a foodie going out to lunch every day in my retirement. Believe me you must try this sandwich. Freshly ground salmon meat, not a patty, and french fries do die for. The other meals were equally great with the other three expressing their complete satisfaction with the quality and taste of the food.I would highly recommend this place to anyone. And BTW way, the prices are very reasonable.
I went here for lunch. The staff were attentive. The new landscaping and interior are beautiful. We sat in the room directly on right as you enter. TVs everywhere. There is a fireplace but it’s not near any of the seating. I found the seats to be uncomfortable. They are metal and hit me mid-back if I leaned forward to eat. The nachos were disappointing. A smattering of toppings on thin chips that tasted like flour. I will certainly give the restaurant another try, hopefully with better results.
quick service, delicious food!
Great food, great atmosphere, fantastic service…Troy and Jillian were on point!
Ordered cheese pizza, fish tacos and Buffalo Mac & cheese. We were disappointed by all of it. Pizza was under cooked and doughy, fish tacos and Mac & cheese were very bland and borderline tasteless. They also forgot the fries with the fish tacos.
