Our 1st visit. Very pleasantly pleased when we walked in. Colors everywhere you looked. Beautiful chandeliers etc. Decor hits you 1st. Pleasant greeting. So many choices and a willing waitress to explain some dishes. I'd say stop by and enjoy yourself. Our dishes were great. Should have taken a picture. We will be back.
the best Mexican food I have ever eaten the service is excellent the waiters are very attentive and friendly they make the customer feel like family the food is delicious without a doubt this restaurant deserves a 10 out of 10.
First visit wasnt disappointed, good service, all entrees served hot. Surprised that was charged $.50 for a lettuce slice on a kids hamburger and $2.20 for a side of sour cream I will be back.
My third visit to Ocho Cafe, and this last visit was on Cinco de Mayo. I was happy to get a nice table on short notice. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was fresh and flavorful. The service on the last visit was rushed and not as personable as previous visits, but saying that, it was a holiday. The DJ was a nice touch. Fun music.
This is a cinco de mayo luncheon review.The food looked delicious. Looks can be deceiving. I sat at the bar. The bar tender recommended tacos with chicken. I got a $16.00 shot of Tequila Crystalline to go along with my $15.00 (2) tacos. I was so excited to try a New Mexican restaurant. The food came out in a normal amount of wait time. The follow up service was below standard. The bartender was more interested in flirting with a few females at the bar, instead of caring for customers. The taste of the taco was sub par. The tasteless chicken is cooked in a fried batter. I was trying to utilize my taste buds to distinguish any seasoning. The taco shell is homemade and greasy. The taco cried out for more flavor. I asked for hot sauce to help digest the needy food. The rice was dry and unappealing. The sides of refried beans and Mexican style coleslaw came in a thumb size cup (I estimate three or four teaspoon’s of refried beans and slaw). The beans were average at best. The slaw I thought was creative. There were a lot of empty tables at lunch time even on the 5th of May. Now I know why. For a $39.00 lunch for one, I was expecting more. Save your money and your tastebuds. Go to El Mariachis or even Chilis for a more satisfying experience.
Genuinely quite good. On my end I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican cuisine as I like sweeter foods on my end; but this food is fresh and well made. The meals are creative and not what I expected; overall I would certainly come again just to try something else on the menu. I would certainly recommend.
Great food, great service. We started with the loaded Nachos with chicken (excellent) they came out piping hot. Then for entrees we had the Korean Rib Tacos, and the Mole Enchiladas, both were excellent and flavorful. Margaritas are great, they actually listed what was in them and the prices on the menu, unlike Cancun up the street (drink price guessing game up there). Place was packed, great atmosphere, decor is amazing with the cool art in the bar, you really feel as if you are in Mexico, and the crowd was buzzing. We will be coming back for sure as this is our new favorite Mexican dining spot.
They seemed a little unorganized when I walked through the door. The two young people at the door couldn't figure out a pick up order. Then 4 different people told me different times for waiting to be seated. We decided to sit at the bar. Bartenders were nice. Nice decor and atmosphere. The blueberry margarita was great! The shrimp wrapped in bacon tacos (Marco Polo) was delicious. Recommend!!! Nice place. It's just when we got our bill we had extra charges. Each flavored margarita had a extra $1 charge..which none of them could figure out because the menu says nothing about extra charges. So the ended up taking them off. I also got charged extra $1.50 for a drizzle of sauce for my tacos...unbelievable. Putting that aside...I would go back and I do Recommend. Maybe sitting at a table to order may be better and keep and eye on your receipt (thats over $5 extra charges I would have paid if I wasn't paying attention).
Best Mexican in the area!! Amazing staff, Perfectly cooked food everytime, and it even comes out quickly! You'll regret not trying them
The food was so delicious authentic! The atmosphere is great, I live the decor of the whole restaurant. I'll be back again. It was very busy and our waitress was on point.
