Outstanding service from the waitress Courtney. Food is delicious!
We went on Open Table and there were so many reservations available it was scary so I decided to call. I was told nothing was available. We decided to make reservation on-line and see what happens since we were close by. We reviewed menu on-line and it was listed as a BYOB . We bought a bottle and headed to restaurant. The first thing I noticed was a sign on the door saying “Under New Management” and Full Bar. I took the wine in and showed the ad that listed them as a BYOB. The hostess /owner or chef? said: “ oh , well why don’t you just save for another time. “ I felt she should have allowed us to use but said “ Now you know for next time. “ I should have left then or when we sat down and reviewed the menu which was completely different from what we had seen on-line and planned on eating but we picked something out and ordered. Our reservation was at 5:30 about 15 minutes after we sat, we were asked if we had a reservation by the waitress who was running around looking frazzled. We were eventually brought a basket of bread For me, good Italian Bread is almost as important as the meal The rolls were small dinner rolls that tasted like heat and serve rolls so we weren’t pleased but at least they were warm . After a 45 minute wait our food arrived. The portions were generous but tasteless. When we finished eating it took another 20-30 minutes to get the check because the waitress refused to make I contact. I finally was able to talk to hostess/ chef/ owner or chef ? Who said she would take care of. The waitress, who was apologizing to everyone all night, brought the check. We noticed we had been overcharged by 1.00 - 1.50 on everything. Another apology and she said she would talk to owner. Owner said prices had to be increased due to COVID-19. We said this would have been acceptable if noted. She refused to budge after another request by waitress. I would think twice before eating here.
This felt like something out of The Twilight Zone! It was a Friday night, prime time and there was only 3 people there and a guy named Joe off in the corner playing an electric keyboard. Joe seemed to be enjoying himself pushing random keys and singing outdated melodies. We texted a couple requests as noted on a sign on the table..,Joe totally ignored our requests and continued to mumble things to himself in between his antiquated selections. The waitress was very pleasant and seemed overjoyed to see people closer to her own age. The food was average at best- pasta was mushy, seafood was good. We probably would not be back because nothing really stood out…it was kinda in a time warp and decor was pretty sad too. I’m not sure why there are so many good reviews- That’s what misled us.
Delicious fresh food served by a wonderful food served by Jillian. The food may take a little longer than normal to be served, because each meal is prepared to from scratch, and the servings are works of art. Real Italian food in a cozy quiet place.
This is a gem. Neighborhood dining at its best. Great food. Very friendly service. Best Caesar salad I've had. My guess is that it might be a tad loud when busy.
Great food, friendly/attentive waitress. Live keyboard music on Saturday. Excellent value. Will definitely return.
We were staying at the spa down the street and came here. Outstanding food and service. Yum!
The food is solid as is the service. Everyone is helpful and friendly and the drinks are generous. The atmosphere is bland, a facelift would probably be a good idea but overall, if you are looking for good, straightforward Italian fare, this hits the mark.
This is one of our “favorite” places to dine! The food is so delicious, wait staff was very attentive! The restaurant is small, but the ambiance is perfect for a quiet dinner for two. The only thing missing was the gentleman who played the quiet music in the background! We will be back for a satisfying meal in the very near future!
The food was delicious and the waitstaff was wonderful !
