Amazing FRESH, from scratch food. Spectacular hand crafted Margaritas and other unique cocktails. Service is amazing and the owners are extremely hands on and amazing people. I came here with a friend for lunch. We were looking to go someplace we hadn't gone to before. We saw spinach pie on the menu and decided this was the place. We were not disappointed! The servings were delicious and more than ample! We both brought food home. Great waitress and quiet atmosphere so could sit and talk awhile. Will definitely be going back! Soon!
We get take out from NexMex but decided to go in & eat. OMG we sat at the bar, the atmosphere was great, bartender Emil was amazing & patient with me & my many tequila and drink questions. This place is awesome!! definitely will be my go to place to grab some food and drinks. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back 10/10
I’m not one to post negative reviews, but this is the third time I’ve been to The NexMex Thing and I have to say my experience today was not great. My family and I went for brunch, the drinks were delicious, but when it came time for the food to come out, mine was wrong, as well as my cousins. We both had to return our food four times each (each!!), and on the last time both our food was still very, very wrong, but we still ate it. I ordered the fajita burrito and for some odd reason on that last time around there were jalapeños in there (doesn’t show that listed on the menu and when you bite into one not knowing it’s going to be in there, it’s not fun at all.), also no avocados were listed on the menu and my burrito had a full avocado in there, which I hate, but never said no avocado to our waitress since it shouldn’t have been in there in the first place. My cousins order was also wrong again, but she ate it after returning it for the fourth time, too. I don’t believe any manager was on duty because one never came over to our table to question anything about our meals, or what was happening. Overall, it was just a really bad experience and I don’t know if I would go back again for brunch.
Went recently with my husband, and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Got the 3-taco combo with rice and beans, they were delicious, and a Torta sandwich, also delicious, but a bit spicy, ask for no jalapeno's next time! The server was also excellent. I've never been too fond of this location, it's switched hands more times than one can count honestly, but, hoping this place lasts and does well. We also ordered the Oreo cookie churros for dessert, they were to die for, with chocolate dipping sauce ! Very nice! Would go back again :)
I ordered from here the first time the other night, and I have to say the food was great. I ordered the steak taco which was delicious as you can see by the photo i ended up eating half of it before I got a chance to take the picture lol. I also got their elote, and chips and guacamole with a side of queso cheese, at first glance at the elote I wasn't at all impressed, it looked very plain and I thought the taste was going to match the look but I was wrong lol, it was absolutely delicious. Next we move onto the chips and guacamole absolutely great, the chips were a little too salty to me but still great, the only few small issues I had was the queso, it litterally tasted like they melted and watered down some velveeta cheese and added some seasonings too it. Please get another queso recipe, because your food is to delicious to not have queso to match, I would have definitely given 5 stars had the queso been delicious. And then only 1 more issue I had ordered from uber eats app when I placed this order and the menu was very misleading, it said I would be getting 3 tacos, it even asked when adding the toppings if I wanted the add ons added to 1, 2, or 3 tacos, I obviously pressed to have the toppings added to 3 tacos, and was charged for toppings for each individual taco, so I was charged add on toppings for 2 tacos I didn't even recieve, but this seems to be an uber app menu issue and not that of the actual restaurant, but the restaurant should definitely go on the uber app for ordering from their restaurant and make sure uber fixes that so their customers don't continue getting over charged. Over all great experience and I will be ordering from here again. Thanks for the delcious food guys.
Ordered a grilled steak burrito and the steak taste like fish probably because they cook everything in the center of the grill. Not only that I'm very sick right now I think i got food poisoning as well and I eat Mexican food alot and it usually sits very well with me except this time. Felt a very repulsive feeling when I walked inside...I would give them a zero but one is as low as I can go. I'm sick to my stomach. Very disappointed. Last time for me for sure. If I were you I would say don't do this to yourself, that's my advice.
Where do I start we tried to go Monday but was closed due to employee party. Went back next day and ordered chips and salsa. Well the chips were old and stale they fixed the issue. We had ordered quesadillas and fajitas and a child threw up on the floor next to us. So you would think management would act fast because of smell and safety reasons of slipping in vomit. So they took at least 10 minutes before they showed up to clean it. Meanwhile we were trying to eat but the smell was overwhelming. We told a worker there we want to leave because we can’t eat next to vomit and he started in with me by commenting your leaving because a child got sick? I stated now I am leaving because you took awhile to clean it up. Then he used the excuse of being short staffed. I told him that is not my problem. I can only imagine how clean the restaurant truly is. I would give this restaurant.5 if I could. I am never going back!
Just moved to Peabody and so happy I found this place. Pretty authentic tasting (I’m from Cali so I know authentic Mexican) for east coast Mexican. Great nachos and a good bar too. Nice chill spot for some drinks and cheap good food!
