We went there the night of July 3rd. It was running with reduced staff as expected. We got a booth in the bar section. Dinner and service were excellent. The waitress gave us a loaf of their delicious bread because they were not open on the 4th.We do like this place.
The food was great but the service needs improvement. Waitress was very rude and did not have a bit of service training. She brought me the wrong salad and insisted that she had brought the right salad. Not once checked back to see if i needed drink refills. Have always visited this restaurant when traveling but will not be doing that again! Very poor experience this time. No wonder why there were not many people in the restaurant.
Christine was our waitress and she was really nice. I ordered the combo dinner with eggplant, toasted raviolis and penne pasta. My Mom ordered the combo with chicken parm, penne and toasted raviolis. Both of our meals were cooked perfectly and tasted very good.
Only thing that could have been better, is the bread could have been warm. Other than that, it was fabulous!
My wife and I each had fried haddock, a side of pasta and a drink. Food was delicious, fish was fresh, fried to perfection, and a good portion -- indeed, much better than the restaurants that 'specialize' in seafood. service -- friendly and very efficient.

Service was pretty decent, but the food is just ok. I ordered their Trio and it turned out like some food court after hour quality which has been sat in the tray for a long time. The taste is not even there.
This place is deserving of 10 stars and I'll tell you why.Today, the hottest day of the year thus far, I placed an order with the Chateau with an online delivery service for a fairly large order for a party. There was some sort of issue and I received only 2 small items for my delivery.The delivery service was less than helpful but the Chateau, they went above and beyond. Not only did the rectify a mistake that wasn't even their fault, the manager personally greeted me when I arrived, apologized sincerely in a way you just don't see with restaurants nowadays, gave me extra desserts for the party, AND threw in a gift card with yet another apology note.They fixed everything within 30 minutes which is crazy considering how busy it was in there.I've had many events at the chateau over the years and I've never once had a less than stellar experience.The food is amazing and the people working here are equally as great.Thanks again to everyone at the chateau for their help, the rest of the party went off without a hitch!
