My second visit in a week. Went to their Wellesley location as a “Father’s Day” surprise and loved the food. I got a delicious breakfast sandwich of scrambled egg, cheese, smoked salmon, capers on a fresh baked brioche roll. My coffee was first rate. The location had just opened that week and the place was mobbed but the staff did a good job of keeping things moving. If you love a great breakfast or happen to be a pastry nut then you won’t be disappointed. I couldn’t get that breakfast off my mind, so I tried their Newton location a few days later. Again, I was not disappointed. Same great food but not the same wait. This is my new favorite breakfast treat.
Got a piece of tiramisu and small mocha. The tiramisu was delicious. Theady fingers weren't sopping wet, had some bite to it but wasn't dry. I thought it tasted great. The mocha had the best milk foam I've ever tried. The mocha itself was ok.I'd go back to try different baked goods.
I order about 4x/wk from Tatte. I love it BUT lately: A salmon sandwich was drowning in sauce, having to scrape it off and dispose of bread; a Turkey Blat had so much mayo I could not taste the turkey, and an egg order was made wrong.
My new favorite place! The breakfast sandwiches are super yummy and I love the coffee! They have so many delicious baked treats. I cannot get enough of the cranberry pistachio cookies.?They are perfect with a cup of tea. Every time I go it’s pretty crowded which is a sign of how good they are.I highly recommend Tatte Bakery!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"The best parsley I ever had."The following is a joint review between [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted]s [redacted] and [redacted].When I googled Tatte thier photo was Panera bread. Well let me tell yah, Panera should not be uttered in the same sentence as Tatte. I received the Lamb hash oooh 11/10. Coming back here again. ([redacted])The Snoop Dogg croissant was out of this world. When it comes to Tattes, this one's the one. Pretty sure you could move in, grand and spacious. Got lost in the back by the fishtank. ([redacted])I walk in here and am immediately transported to Split Croatia circa 1923. Leo di caprio greets me and hands me a pistachio croissant. All is right with the world. ([redacted])Everytime I come back here I think I know what to expect. And yet, each experience is an epiphany. A moment in which the meaning of culinary arts changes completely and forever. So now I know. Expect that when you leave Tatta, you will be not be the same as when you walked in. ([redacted])
I was in the mood for a latte and a toasted biscuit, this is the only place I found out that has the best ones. My parents were with me and they ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it was disappointing, nothing that justified its price. The smoked salmon, avocado, and egg sandwich on the other hand was very well liked by my mother. Scrambled eggs are not from cracker eggs and you can tell the difference. The service was excellent, everyone is very friendly and helpful, the environment is a little loud because ceilings are too high. The place is clean and well organized.
Had the house latte, it was a big cup with a comforting flavour - a bit like chai. Lovely decor. Toasty warm inside.
It is a pretty place, they do have a variety of items, but a single baked item will give you instant diabetes. I understand that it is a bakery (I worked in one for a few years), but you need to find some sort of balance.Tiramisu is a disaster: probably sitting on a shelf for a couple of days and is as dense as a custard (the overly thick cocoa dusting on top for such small serving is not helping).Almond croissant (my top-three favorite dessert) is so darn sweet, you cannot eat it even with milk, has to be very bitter coffee or plain water. I think they soak it in simple syrup (and dust with 10X sugar as well!). Regardless, I should be able to taste almonds and butter, not cringe from every bite. Looks good and that’s it.
Hands down the most beautiful cafe’ in Boston and prettiest of all the Tatte locations. Peaceful space to work and/or chat with a friend in the ❤️ of Newton Center. You too can get a perfect mocha latte from the beautiful barista w the blue hair.
A very nice (chain) bakery and cafe with lots of tasty options, but utter chaos inside when I visited. Long line, then you have to wait in a different spot to get any coffee drinks while hoping to hear them shout your name from the main register for the rest of your order. All while constantly scanning the space to see if any seats have opened up. The opposite of getting a relaxing bite to eat.
