SOUP FACTORY:when we walked in, the place didn’t look much like the pictures bc of covid so we were a little thrown off. But I’ve heard such amazing things about this place so we got an order of clam chowder and an order of the chicken soup. They also gave us French and multi grain bread as a side.it. was. amazing. this place definitely lives up to its reputation and I will 100% be returning. the story on the side of the bowls is also heartwarming. highly recommend!!MODERN ROTISSERIE:The attached farm to table restaurant, The Modern Rotisseries is also phenomenal. We got two half chicken plates with rice, green beans, and plantains. The chicken was so tender that it flaked off at the slightest touch of a fork. The sides were perfectly seasoned and so fresh. I got mine not spicy but the was a wide selection of sauces. Both places were delicious and very affordable with hearty serving sizes. I’m surprised they don’t charge more!

The freshest, most delicious soups in town. Usually about 10 soups to choose from. Regulars include chicken noodle, chicken pot pie. In the summer, there’s a variety of cold soups as well, including an excellent gazpacho. They also have fresh made sandwiches and salads and frozen soups to go. All fresh and delicious. The people who work there are all super nice. They give samples, too!

Everything was delish. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the service was splendid. A small quaint place with few tables. Order up deli style and seat yourself.

Best chicken vegetable with noodles ? . 3 qts of soup with matzo and noodles reasonably priced. Staff are very courteous and the line moves quick even for workday lunch hour

Great place to take a break from the cold weather. Delicious food and friendly staff. I’d suggest veggie soup. Call ahead of time to know the specials. They change daily. Not all soups on menu will be available

I was craving some homemade comfort food (soup). I was in the Wellesley area and googled homemade soups near me. Google brought up New England Soup Factory. I figured I'd give it a try! Wow, so happy I did. This place is amazing. I ordered five different kinds of soups. I've tried three so far. They are totally incredible mushroom, chicken and chili! I very seldom write reviews, though I couldn't help but give this establishment one. "New England Soup Factory" needs to go on everyone's bucket list!

I grew up in Needham not far from this area of Newton and sorry to say that I’ve never tried this place until now- have missed out on some good eating! I’m now a Dedham resident and was craving hearty soup after the cold, wet rainy days we’ve had and luckily arrived 30 min before closing. I ordered a quart of the Chicken Vegetable (wanted matzo ball with it but sold out), quart of the lemon chicken & rice, side chicken salad, and side potato salad. Very tasty and such flavorful broth. I had the remaining chicken vegetable with the chicken salad for my lunch at work today (I’m a nurse) and everyone was like what smells so good when I warmed it up. Can’t wait to try more soups and also try a rotisserie chicken dinner at The Modern Rotisserie.

If I could add extra stars I would. Visiting from Midwest and loved the lobster soup. Even saw them share to their fellow community by helping the homeless. Good food and good heart!

I have been coming here for years. Everything is outstanding. My kids love the matza ball soup and chili. I love the Lobster bisque, chicken pot pie ... the fresh baked multigrain or French rolls, delicious sandwiches like the Hamlet...homemade sweets... Blondies, snickerdoodles...everything! The best part is sampling the soups. There is always a great concoction like thai coconut curry or such...The rotisserie is fantastic too! The mashed potatoes, gravy...marinated chicken is perfection. I am just sad you are understaffed and no longer open on the weekend.

We enjoyed chicken pot pie and New England clam and corn chowder. Both were really good as weather was cold and rainy. The biscuit for pot pie was gummy and not very good. The wheat rolls were better. Service was really good
