Delicious, unique dishes. We had a mixed experience with service, but overall enjoyed the food and atmosphere. There was a live musician the night we went.
The most disappointing restaurant experience for us in the last 15 years. Vibe of the staff, not warm at all. Servers were not well trained. The salad was beyond bad; we had to send it back. A salad! The Brazilian seafood stew was just barely edible, in contrast to other reports. Mushroom crepe was OK. So sorry to write a bad review, first one ever for us, but it was deserved. Hope for their own sake they can pull it together; we have nothing but empathy for the restaurant business. But we won't be back.
We were at Blue Salt last night. What an absolute delight. Appetizers of salmon tartare,tartar, buntz, foie gras,baked brie were outstanding. Chimichurri steak and lamb chop lollipops was cooked to perfection My highlight was Foie gras burger. Can't even describe how delicious it was. Service top notch. And to complete the evening,a live jazz sax in the background. A destnation!!
Took my mother here. Anyone who has Russian parents knows how hard it is to impress them when it comes to new restaurants and especially ones making the same Russian dishes that they've made for decades. My mom left telling the staff how good everything was ?. It really was delicious and I'm glad that there's an Eastern European option near Boston now. You can't find Russian cuisine anywhere and this place does an amazing job. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Blue Salt! There was so much thought in each dish, the salmon appetizer and bucatini were out of this world! The family feel made us feel right at home. We will definitely be dining again!

My evening at Blue Salt Restaurant was pleasant to say the most.The service was satisfactory at best. The baked brie appetizer took particularly long to come out. However, it was most definitely scrumptious. For a main dish I ordered the chimichurri steak asking it to be prepared medium rare. Half the steak arrived medium-well while the other half was cooked to well done. It was dry but the chimichurri sauce and Patagonian potatoes played their part in reviving the dish. The asparagus had ends which were not edible. Nonetheless it wasn’t a bad experience; it was just underwhelming considering the atmosphere and the rest of the reviews of this place. I will return at some point in the future to see if there is any improvement or positive change.
