FAKE Portuguese food!!! For anybody who knows Portuguese cuisine, this is not the real deal. The food was bland and lacking in flavor. Custard tarts were burnt and inedible. Server seemed disinterested and refused to share a paper menu even though several were available inside. Somehow we were attracted to this place after watching a Youtube video about the restaurant. We were very disappointed.
Local gem!!If you find yourself in New Bedford area I highly recommend you stopping in to Tia Maria's for breakfastor early lunch... it has something for everyone. The staff is super friendly and attentive and the food is delicious and most importantly the coffee is tasty and HOT! You will not be disappointed!

I usually like Tia Maria and I am always happy to go there for breakfast, and although they have good food, they have really poor experience cooking eggs. Every time that I ask for a over easy cooked egg, the egg white is raw. To the best of my knowledge over easy is runny yolk not raw egg white. And then the server had the nerve to tell me that that’s what I ordered, as if I don’t know what I am ordering. Please do better and find a cook and server that know the difference. Thanks

We went once for coffee after visiting the excellent whaling museum, and liked it so well that we returned for a full breakfast before a very long day.Both visits were eye-opening. The coffee was great both times, of course. On the first visit Lorna got a Molotof Flan (no relation to the incendiary Molotof Cocktail), and it was spectacular.On Friday, I went all out with the Azorean Bitoque, a steak-and-eggs with pickled peppers and piri-piri... It was wonderful. The setting is pleasant, the service was great both times, and the prices are good. We'll return.
It's a good place to have great family moments. The food is good. We went for breakfast (I got an delicious omelet). I enjoyed the hot chocolate. They have a good costumer service and prices were acceptable. We singed happy birthday to my son and when we finished everybody in the room applauded. I recommend this place. I wish they had parking lot.
Not only is the food amazing and fresh (super generous servings), breakfast, lunch or dinner but they have the best espresso ever!!! This is a gem of a restaurant ?Love it everytime✨ ✨
I go here as often as my wallet will let me. Which isn't very often, but gosh darn it their sweet roll french toast is too good to pass up!
