Trying this place for the first time- wow we waited to long! Everything was fantastic and great prices! Awesome cocktails too! $26 for a 1/2 lb Lobster roll on a grilled brioche/ fantastic! Fish Tacos and Burger great too. I usually don’t like thick cut onion rings but these are homemade in a tempura batter- fantastic. Molly was our server and great! Really nice outdoor seating. Will definitely return! — with Lucille Fuller at Cove Surf and Turf.

Love this place. Great food, service was nice and prompt. Only thing I noticed was the fried clams I ordered last week were a bit on the crunchy side and not as sweet as they use to be. But aside from that..still fabulous!

Pictures we saw online are far from accurate. We ordered seafood casserole which was haddock, scallops and 3 jumbo baked stuffed shrimp. The shrimp was the size of a cocktail shrimp that had been butterflied wirh some stuffing. Small portion of fish and 5 scallops which were good. Visiting in the area for the day and wanting seafood, I would say run, don't stop here.

Ordered fish and chips after reading such good reviews online I was convinced that choice would be a WIN. Boy was I wrong! Fries were frozen nothing special at all and the fish was the most disappointing part. Double the amount of breading compared to the actual piece of fish. Had no flavor at all. Tasted like the frying oil and nothing else! Will never order from here again. Horrible. I can find better for half the price. ??????

Absolutely Delicious!! The Mrs started with clam chowder and it was awesome. We ordered theXL Fish and chips plenty for 2 people to share. The service was great!

Always can count on delicious food, fast service, and wonderful people here!!

My partner and I stopped in on a Friday winter afternoon for lunch. I was starving, AND on a diet. So fried food was not on my possible list. He could do whatever, and very predictably, got the Fish & Chips. He quipped that the fish "jumped out of the water onto his plate - that's how fresh it was. Fries were fries." At $16, that was the going price to my mind. My baked scallops with crumb topping was $19 - which does not make the restaurant qualify for 'not the same as Merrills or Black Whale' also in New Bedford. In other words, prices are not cheap, but not outrageous. My baked potato had been re-heated, and the one step up from plastic silverware knife could not cut the skin. the broccoli was so overcooked (or re-cooked a few times) that the color was more yellow than green. the scallops on my 'light plate - $19' as opposed to $$25 or more for more scallops, were okay, but topped with literally bread crumbs so baked on that I had to scrape them as well off the crock. I was VERY disappointed, while my partner was pleased. Life and learn. My sense is that people come to the Cove for fried, and for that, I'm guessing the food is fine, if not plentiful and good. Stick to that, or don't go.

Our order: 1side salad, 2 petite baked haddock, small fried clam plate and 1 fried clam roll. The bill came with half dozen cakes which was deleted. When the bill came back it was for $78.06 including tax? Added the tip and left. Reviewing the bill next day it should have been $66.95 plus $6.25 tax grand total of $71.14. Why all the errors? I was over charged $8.86. They will be hearing from me. And by the way the seafood was good the haddock over cooked.
