We always go for the "mess" - a baked concoction of different broken pastas, lots of marinara sauce and cheese to which you can choose to add veggies, sausage, meatballs, veal, chicken or eggplant. My son and I demolished a single of "Aunt Issy's Mess" (veggies, meatballs and sausage. My husband had a single of "Nephew's Mess" (eggplant and sausage). So good!We also shared an order of fried calamari (no banana peppers, please). Crunchy and tender. Perfectly cooked. Delicious!The counter person was very friendly and helpful. Lots of street parking right out front.For those with mobility issues: the front entrance has 2 steps up. I don't know if they have an alternative entrance with a ramp.
This comellas location is terrible. The only one that is still good is Newton. I was served two orders of chicken parm that were tough and rubbery. My wife and I each took one bite brought it back and were met with attitude and zero care or concern.
Italian sandwich was pretty good. Tons of meat which became a bit overwhelming by the end. I probably wouldn't get again and would look at a hot sandwich instead.
I must admit it, the Nick Cavallo ate at the fabulous Comellas once again. Good pizza and calzones as always, hit me up with comellas coupons if anyone gets any!
The food here is always fantastic with super friendly staff! I did expect the veal parm sandwich to be larger than it was. It wasn't tiny but it wasn't the huge homestyle size I expected. Perhaps I was mislead on this sandwich from other reviews that claimed it was huge and good for 2 people. Not quite, unless you're sharing it as a snack and not as your meal.

I go here for one thing and that’s their pasta messes. Their sauce is delicious and they offer so many different kinds of “messes”. Their sizes are great for families & larger gatherings. Brought a mess to our family friends who just had a baby and they raved about it. So so good.

Ordered a steak bomb last week and it was delicious was fresh and made perfectly. Tonight ordered the exact same item. Steak bomb in whole wheat wrap. It was totally saturated in grease which was dripping through the bag and actually hurt my stomach after I ate it!. Was slovenly put together and the meat was not fresh at all. I do not know why such a inconsistency in quality but really was not appreciated.
