Always a great experience at this place! The food and service is wonderful. The handsome and charismatic bartender always makes the evening more fun! Last night he didn’t stop for one minute and graciously accommodated all requests. His charm along with the lively crowd makes every visit here something special! I highly recommend restaurant 89 if you are looking for a special fine dining experience in the Milford area or looking for a welcoming bar and a special cocktail. I’ll be back soon!
Terribly disappointed tonight. The bartender was so rude not just to the customers but to the staff trying to help him out. He took our drink order after quite a wait and not busy. After a long wait he took our dinner order. One was wrong but he wouldn’t know because he never checked on us. The gentleman who brought the food was kind enough to tell us it was never put in and offered to fix it. The bartender ended up yelling at him for touching his computer screen. We had frequented when it was Trattoria 89, and went back for first time after it changed hands. We were still very happy with our experience. The atmosphere is so nice and the food was delicious. Our server, Katie was right on top of everything and we had excellent service. As we were wrapping up our conversation, the owner, Ian, came over and introduced himself and had a seat. He is also the chef and has been chef there for many years! He was a pleasure to talk to. Food is always fresh and the homemade pasta is the best I’ve had…and I’m Italian!

We had an amazing experience hosting an event here last weekend! The space was beautiful (decor was up to date, rustic, and bar was gorgeous!), the food was spectacular, and the staff was amazing and so accommodating! All of our guests left saying they can’t wait to come back for dinner! It really was a great experience and I can’t say enough how professional the owners and the staff are. We will definitely we back!
