Excellent food, service and environment.
I haven't been here in a few years and I was very disappointed in the quality and the portion sizes. Also a very large price increase on all their item menus. I don't think I will be returning.
They consistently deliver a high quality classic north shore style roast beef sandwich. One of the best around.
I have not been to Royal House in a long time. It seems as though the menu has expanded somewhat through the years. From Seafood, to salads, to club sandwiches, to fresh meat pie, fresh homemade meatballs fresh white meat chicken cutlet, fresh veal, (real Veal), to Pasta dinners! What has not changed is the out of the way, little corner, hidden space, off of Route 110 in Methuen Ma. as it's obsecure location. Inside reveals about 5-6 large standard type eat-in tables. A busy, hardworking staff of order takers and prep/ cook team. Based on menu signs and a "specials" counter white board.... cleverly spread within eyeshot of the customer's view, I would guess that everything on their total menu is "cooked to order." And I would predict that 40% of that food is Homemade and Fresh! And now for the best part of today's experience at Royal House. ROAST BEEF BABY!!! I had remembered the great roast beef sandwich that I really enjoyed back many years back. And I just had to bring back that fresh, medium cooked, lean, and beefy flavor to my taste buds. This time, on fresh rolled Syrian Bread. With lots of Mayo, tomatoes, and onion. My wife ordered the Fish&Chips and was quite impressed with the portion and quality of one of her go-to favs. It was a welcomed, well overdue retrieval of a fantastic, Royal Roast Beef experience that did not disappoint!
Super Roast Beef 3-way with a pizza roll for the win! Royal House is always consistent good food. They're also pretty quick.
Best Roast Beef Around, Travel 40 minutes just to have! I do it often, and well worth the ride.

Did you know Massachusetts is famous for roast beef sandwiches? Neither did I! But after seeing multiple signs for roast beef on our trip here, we figured we should give it a try. Royal House was prompt, cheap, and delicious. The roast beef sandwich was huge (and I didn’t even get the biggest size) with perfectly paper thin slices of rare beef and a generous amount of veggie toppings. Their bbq sauce was tangy and the horseradish was great. Try the jalapeño poppers while you’re there!
went in to pay and pick up my order, girl behind the counter was making fun of our sandwiches. when I opened it grease dripped, not sure where that came from as the meat was super dry and tasteless. the food is nasty.
