Instead we got a small bowl of cold beansNever going back there!
WOW ? I'm impressed with this place the food was FINGERLICKING and the waitress I had not Sure if her name was jesenia but I do know she was a short Mexican young lady who approached my wife and I with a big beautiful smile on her face she was very helpful with us getting a meal there since it was our first time? she had great conversation with us and all though she was alone she sure did Rock them 6-8 tables all alone . my wife and I will be coming back to get seated with her ? and not to forget she took great photos of my wife and I with our delicious plates!!!
We didn't have to wait for the seats. The ambience was nice. The server was polite and prompt. The location is great as well
Not sure why my wife choose Margaritas Restaurant for our Saturday night meal as she had not read any reviews but we went anyways. I called to make reservations for 6:30 at 6 pm and was able to get one. When we arrived the restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm was not a good sign. I had never eaten at the Methuen location before but had in a nearby town. When we entered, we requested a booth and told that there was none available. A couple was getting ready to leave from a booth across from our table but my wife did not want to move. I noticed the served appeared to be young when he finally acknowledged us. Then nothing happened. No water, chips or salsa. The wait seemed to be long for the server to come back but he finally did and took our drink order on his fancy computer that he had some difficulty with. I told the server that we wanted to order so the wait would not be that long. Well it was. Again we were sitting there with no drinks or even water, salsa and chips. I noticed that another couple who were in the booth I wanted that came in after us had chips and salsa by a different server. We flagged down our server and requested chips and salsa. Next thing I know is out comes our meals still without our drinks, water, chips and salsa. The meal was actually served by some other people not our server. We were informed that the plates were hot but I took a bite and part of my burrito was cold which leads me to believe that the food was either from a microwave or one of the ovens that have a belt. Since the rest of the burrito was warm I bit the bullet and ate it. My wife got the taster which was a sample of different foods. The server finally brought chips and salsa then our drinks after we had already begun eating our meal. I know there has been a large turn over at restaurants since covid but this seemed to be a lack of training. Most of the employees appeared to be young and inexperienced. I saw one young man who was just hanging around cleaning tables. He could have been trained easily enough to serve water, salsa and chips. I know I said that this was my first visit to the restaurant but it really is my second. First and last.
The food was lackluster. The only thing worse was the service.We watched the waiter check in on the tables around us and not ask us if we needed anything, numerous times. When we decided we could not continue trying to eat the meal we left it, largely untouched, napkins on plates, waiting for the check.After the waiter ignored us two more times, we went to the hostess station to get our check. Finally a manager of some sort came over and gave the check to the wrong table. After sorting that out, we were eager to pay and leave.When we passed the check back, the ‘manager’ asked if we wanted boxes to take our food home—the food with used napkins on it. The good news is those around us were getting good service, largely, I suspect, because they were drinking alcohol. While drinking alcohol likely gets you better service at Margarita’s, it will not improve the quality of the food.Avoid. Especially if not running up a bar tab.
Poor customer service. Waiter was too busy flirting with another waitress to pay attention to us. Took forever for the waiter to move dirty cups and plates off the table. Drinks were good though. Spoke to the manager and he wasn’t any help. Said he wasn’t going to do anything about it. First and last time I’ll ever come to this restaurant. Spend your money elsewhere.
My most recent time at margaritas was great. Carmelo was the absolute best. Funny and took care of us. The food was delicious ! Ambiance perfect And the DJ was playing all my favorites.
Don’t loose your time come here, there is not costumer service, there is not a lot of personal, I think this restaurant should be close. Save money, save time and do not come here. I finished my apetaizer and past 30 minute nobody’s took my dirty plate. Thinks in another restaurant is you need a good time, there is better opción.
Stopped for a drink after a movie. Had a margarita flights and my kids had a frozen drink. Staff was great, drinks were good. Margaritas were not overly sweet which was perfect
Service was slow. Food and drinks were good. But no beans... that was weird. It's probably a staffing thing. But this was a bit excessive. Server was nice.
