An absolutely amazing buffet. The fish tank was full and lively, beautiful fish, compared to the last buffet I visited, who's fish tank was empty, like the rest of the experience.The gentlemen serving us, seemed to be the only guy working two sections. At first I thought service was slow untill I seen what was really going on. This guy deserves a raise. 100% efficient while tending to 13 parties at once!The food was all hot. I don't expect the best at a buffet, but the sushi was A+, the crab Rangoon a were great. Not sweet, but tangy and filled.The generals chicken was a mess, but meaty, which is more important than a doughy congealed mess that you'd get at most buffets.Even the ice cream was great. Scoop your own vs a machine that never really gives true soft serve it's always icy at those places.Most the china buffets around me closed down, and the ones that survived covid have let their standards go. This was not the case here.I appreciate everything this place has to offer and will be back!
The reviewers that say this food is good or ok have extremely low standards. The food is simply terrible. Overcooked, old, hard, or mushy. Lacks any flavor. The vegetables are boiled or steamed until they're flavorless mush. Their seafood and sushi sit for hours in the open. I think it's dangerous to eat. Excellent chance of you getting food poisoning here. Even the soups taste horrible. People cough all over the food. No one wears masks. The staff do nothing but bring you beverages. Nothing else. They don't deserve the automatic 15% tip they put on your bill. Bathrooms have never been cleaned. Disgusting, dirty, and filthy. Place is essentially a rip-off. Do youself a favor and go to a proper well-run chinese restaurant that serves good food. There are many around. This place definately isn't one of them.

Honestly no problems here for me!The food Is always tasty and hot, service is good, the environment seems clean, the only downside is going when it's busy because other customers will just stand in the way for so long!I also love to see the fish every time I go!
Little more than two weeks ago, we traveled to Salem, NH.We stopped at China Buffet in Methuen, MA on our way back to MA. Since twenty some years ago when they opened. It was really good, plenty foods and many choices with freshest fruits and seafoods. Well cooked, tasteful. No issue.But currently, they just not near the one star- at 12PM afternoon, very fewer customers. The foods cooked just dried, sourer, hard as well the meats were old- could smell inside after cooked. The waitress never asked us how were the foods? We have to stepped away from our seats looking for napkins. The drink were empty, but never got a refill. The tip for waitress just 12% of total bill.The fruits for desert were not fresh.The ice cream were very good.This China buffet do needed really cooking a better foods.
Last 2 years it's gone downhill. There's barely any food there yet they still make you pay $15 for only two areas open. The food barely had flavor and tasted old. Bathrooms are disgusting everytime I go there. Thought I should give it a try again after almost a year of avoiding the place but I thought I should try it again and see if they got better but they keep getting worse. The food taste bad and their sweet&sour soup had a catfood smell to it.Wouldn't recommend coming. Staff is nice, but food overall stinks.
Most of the meat were very stale and hard. The vegetables were average. Some dishes were not warm. The sushi was the worst I've ever had. The fruits were actually fairly good and fresh. Would've given worse rating but this place was only $15 per person before tax in 2022, which is quite good for a buffet
Besides a entire worm in my food the rice was valid. But I’ll never order from here again
Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, everything tasted the same. The potstickers were slimy, the boneless ribs were dry. The crab Rangoons and French fries were ok but everything else was so bad
The food was lukewarm at best and all the food in my plate was rubbery. It was absolutely disgusting! It was over crowded, they say mask are needed but no other precautions are met. I'm just waiting to be positive for Covid at this point. Avoid!
