Expect a loud and down to earth setting with no regular menu to speak of (specials are on a chalk board). The server rattles off a pretty long list of pastas, sauces and house specials, you really have to be ready for it. I liked the flexibility of being able to combine as desired and went with an eggplant cacciatore with fresh fusili. The sauce had a robust finish and coated the pasta well. The fusili seemed just a touch past al dente but still very good. The portion was about perfect on this dish, not as large as some other plates in our group. An enjoyable and recommended experience overall in this casual and lively setting. Note that this is a BYOB; they have wine glasses but no glassware for apéritifs/digestifs/cordials. Also, espresso is the one and only coffee offering.
Sometimes you find the best dining in some offbeat locations. Food made to order...no published menu but outstanding choices...BYOB. Best Italian I've had in 8 years since moving to NE from NY. RESERVATIONS a must!! Be surprised at venturing out away from the typical...
Disappointed yet once again! Called to confirm our reservation for tonite 2-12 that I made weeks ago and to my surprise there was no reservation. I suggest getting the persons name when you call. This is the second time this has happened to me at this restaurant, and yes I called Medford it’s the only one we would go to. I checked my outgoing calls too on my phone and I called to make this reservation on 1/26
Cozy, family-style venue with tasty, well-priced apps, entrees, and desserts. One of my favorite local Italian restaurants, and I always look forward to going back!
Extremely loud in this teeny place, everyone screaming over each other. Only two wait staff clearly not enough. We had the eggplant roll $9 for an app, and two chicken parm entrees. $22ea. It was so cold in there I never took my coat off. They hung a curtain across the front door to help block the air from coming in each time the door opened. Food came out and got cold before I could finish it. Not impressed.
The eggplant was very good there. The eggplant rotini was better than the eggplant Parm. Gave a four star due to being a cash only place and the front door was covered with a sheet nd every time that door opened it was like being hit with a burst of cold air.
They don't have a menu, which makes it exciting to be able to customize whatever you want, but at the same time if you are the type of person who gets ideas from menus then you're not gonna have a great time hehe. The service is good, we went super early for more of a late lunch type of thing, the reason for the 3 stars is because the flavors were OK, I wasn't crazy excited about the food and there was nothing that would set them apart from any other Italian restaurant.

Amazing Italian food. Byob. Small family feel. Reservations needed. Waitress did great job to announce menu. Various pasta and sauce combinations. Veal parmesan was awesome. Would go back.
