We decided to order Kelly’s for lunch today, and went through the drive-thru. One of us ordered the surf n turf, and I ordered the chicken sandwich meal w/no Mayo/sauce. When we pulled up to get our order at the second window, the guy working the window was in a shouting match with other staffers in the store. It was uncomfortable to listen to. He eventually passed our drinks to us. Then we waited for our food….and waited…,and waited. Several cars were behind us, and we had been waiting at the window for much longer than usual. Our food finally came out, the guy is still yelling at his co-workers as we leave. Ten minutes later, after we stop to eat, we open the bag. No condiments/utensils or napkins, despite asking for extra ketchup. Ok, annoying, but not the end of the world. We’re happily eating our lunches, and as I start on my French fries, I find a maraschino cherry stem and a DIRTY straw wrapper under my French fries!! Disgusting. How that ended up in my meal, I’ll never know. I threw out the rest of my meal. It will be quite a while before I return to the Medford location. That was really disappointing and disgusting. Especially for the price we paid. My advice to anyone going to Kelly’s: check your orders carefully!!!
I really like coming here. The service is great both inside and drive thru. The inside is super clean including the restrooms which are always stocked. The prices are reasonable given the large portions of product they give. This place is right off route 16 and is convenient to a warehouse I pick up and drop off from locally. I like the popcorn shrimp Cajun style with the citrus marmalade or sauce. They have coca cola freestyle.
Lobster roll was good, tasted like fresh lobster on bread. The clam chowder however was horrible, like warm milk with potatoes in it. It was incredibly thin, had no flavor, no salt, had almost no clams, and the potatoes were severely under cooked. I took it home, seasoned it and thickened it up, when I poured it in the pan there were maybe 5 clam pieces for the entire quart and it took 30 minutes to actually cook the potatoes. If you're going to do something, do it right!
Great on the beach. Great in the restaurants. Always tasty beef sandwiches in these places. Good service. Reliably good seafood and sandwiches. Really hearty chowder!
Was visiting Boston area with family when we drove by this place. It had amazing sandwiches and service! The crab cake was a proper crab cake with real crab meat, none of that artificial stuff. We also had an awesome pastrami and reuben. These were BIG sandwiches too. We could easily have shared them and still been full. Very kind and warm service.
Why is a side of fried clams $25? Can you PLEASE add a smaller portion of fried clams to your menu? I get roast beef & clams twice per week, and I drive a round trip of 20 extra minutes each time, to go to mikes roast beef in Everett. They have a side of whole belly clams for $10. I’d much rather come to Kelley’s but... ??♀️
My fiance and I got there with 3 minutes left to close and the lovely woman that took our order was happy to help and went the extra mile despite she needed to start closing. I appreciate that most places and people complain that you're there. The food is amazing as always just like the other locations. Will go back time and time again.
Super fast. Ordered a small fried clams for take out. Lots of tables for dining in. Agree with other reviews about overcooking the clams. But I got my cravings fixed. Satisfied:)
Onion rings and french fries were hot and juicy ?.The clams bellies you may need to remind the cook not to over cook and dry them out, unless you don’t mind.I myself enjoy hot juicy clams bellies.The clam plate is $24.95.Also I noticed 7 out of 10 meal orders seems to be their roast beef sandwiches at $12.75 each.One person had a lobster roll next to me, which is $26.95. The roll was stuffed with lobster meat, which he seemed very satisfied.The vast majority of orders are takeouts, which seems to be nonstop.** 10 minute walk from Wilmington T station on the Orange line, if you don’t drive..
Wrong food. Ordered large roast beef sandwich and got a hotdog. Customer service is the BEST, refunded after called.
