Excellent food and customer service - had an issue with my order but the manager Tony was happy to help and remedy the situation. Bobs has great fresh Italian food and their subs are the bestDeluxe Italian w/ lettuce, tomato, hots, onion and evoo pictured!
All I can say is wow! Italian sub was best I've ever had any where at any time. I'm a truck driver so I have tried probably over 1000 spots in my life.
I remember going to this place back in the mid 90s when I lived in Medford. I was a graduate student at MIT at the time. Those subs gave me energy to last the whole day and keep up with my research, and Bob's was way more reliable than the campus food was back then, I can assure you. Fast forward 25 years later and I still visit Bob's when I'm in the area. Those subs are otherworldly, both in size (the small is a large, imagine what the large is!) and taste. Thank you Bob's for being a bastion of Italian delicacies for all these years!
My husband grew up in Medford and he loved the place. I always looked forward to getting subs there during the few times of year that we visited since 1997. This past visit was extremely disappointing. I got an all veggies and cheese sub and ended up with two long pieces of romaine and a couple of diced pickles. They also forgot the mayonnaise and oil and vinegar. Not at all what I’m used to from Bobs, subway would have done better. Of course we are going to go back in hopes that it was just a one time mistake.

Wow what amazing STEAK&CHEESE with EGG ? everything about it was delicious. I can’t wait to try so much more off there menu.
I have never had a bad sandwich at Bob's. Huge portions and fresh ingredients make all the difference. I just tried the roast beef sub (they use London broil which is so much more flavourful) and it is the best cold roast beef sub I have ever had. I highly, highly recommend Bob's!
I went to Bob's yesterday and spent $96 , the meatball sub was horrible the meatballs were not home made and tasted like bread crumbs. The spumoni ice cream , tasted freezer burnt and I would of thought it would of tasted a lot better. The chicken, broccoli , ziti saute dish was good. The stuffed peppers just tasted very blah to me , I have definitely had better and have made better ones myself. I think the quality at Bob's has gone down from last time I was there , I was so surprised at the meatballs , I would of expected a homemade meatball. If they say those are homemade I want to see a video of them homemade because they are not homemade. You can just see the low quality in the meatballs. Very disappointed in the experience , I would not recommend and being Italian myself , I know good food when I eat it.
I've been going to Bob's for over ten years. Unfortunately their prices have sky rocketed AND their portion sizes have significantly dropped. Their small sandwiches used to be so big you would have leftovers. Now they don't even fill you, and they cost $15. Bobs has unfortunately lost a very loyal customer
Bob's is a small Italian shop that packs a punch! It has pretty much everything you could ever want from an Italian deli! Pizza, pasta, subs, salads and even Italian dinner entrees! I have always loved Italian subs and I had always thought the North End of Boston made the best subs but Bob's changed my mind. Since I have moved away from Boston I have searched every Italian deli in the US and Italy and non of them have been close in quality and combinations to Bob's, they seem to have the freshest ingredients and the best meats and cheeses and they are sliced to order, sometimes when it's slow the owner even comes around and talks to you when you are waiting for your sub. Bob's can you air ship a sub to me in Tennessee??
