Let's be honest, this is a little hole in the wall place. BUT it is THE BEST Italian food you will ever eat. Way way better than any chain restaurant will ever be. You will NOT go wrong by picking this place. Dont dress up for this place. It's a blue collar place. Dress casual and come with a hungry stomach cause the portions are huge. Enjoy!!!
First time eating here. Tasty pizza. Would order again but only takeout. Wouldn't eat here inside again. Dined in with wife and kids. Waitress was nice and it was busy. But she didn't take even a few seconds to come back and ask us if we needed anything until we were almost done eating. The best servers come back 2-5 minutes after dropping off the food to ask if the customers need refills or lemon with their fish or extra napkins or if their food is cooked okay. It just takes a few seconds. The food was very tasty though. And maybe we just caught our waitress on a bad day.
They got good food and everything. But they have an attitude when you call to make an order. Like they don’t want you to make an order or something. Also the food when you order chicken or a salad that has cheese. They don’t cut it for you the give you the whole piece and you gotta deal with it. Like no that’s why I’m calling and eating out because I don’t want to cut it. In that case I just make it at home. Like that’s laziness.
I had the linguini in oil it was great, not to oily but just enough to keep it moist. Also got the Broccoli Rabe as an appetizers, it was cooked to perfection and plenty of garlic and oil with bread to soak it up with. Pleasant atmosphere and family friendly service.
Before even unwrapping my sub I could smell the homemade sauce?? literally the best. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. Quick and friendly service as well.
Very casual, family and friends relaxed place with a warm feel and kitchen cooking wafting as you walk in. Food is quite good and reasonable. Pasta, and pizza mainly. No reservations necessary as they don't take them.
We came here because everyone said it is as good as anything on Boston's Northside. I can say, we were NOT disappointed. All of our meals were very delicious. We will be back when we visit gain.
My wife and I stopped in about 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Unfortunately, we got in right behind a 40-50 member youth hockey outfit. In spite of that, our wait time and the service time was not bad at all. We have no complaints about the timing or the service. They began by serving a platter of warm delicious bread with butter. When they took our order I got the Fruitti Dimare which was reasonably priced at $18.95. My wife got a Calzone, priced at $10.95. On the whole, in today's world, the food prices were very reasonable. With our meals, two sodas and some spumoni, and tip, our bill totaled $51.00. Every bit of our food was great and the Calzone was so large that the portion my wife took home served as supper for both of us that night. Considering how busy they were, we felt well served, not rushed, and very welcome. A real treat.
Great family place with reasonable prices and generous portions. Tried the chicken Parm dinner which was delicious. Chicken could have used a little more tenderizing. I loved the sauce which was a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. Friendly, accommodating staff!. Hoping to try the pizza next time around.
I was pretty disappointed that my girlfriend and i were sat after a party of seven when a table was open because they wanted to seat the seven so we got a booth by the door which was cold and drafty. It was too loud and crowded to have any conversation. Our server did bring us drinks and bread quickly but we both ordered a simple linguine dish and I had to wait 5 minutes at least for my dish while my girlfriends dish came out before mine. Also a table nearby that came in after us got their food before us which was odd as our meal was simple linguine and Alfredo sauce. Overall the food was good but I will not go back here
