I had to go and get a sundae from Friendly's today. I haven't had one from there in over 12 yrs. There are no Friendly's where i live now. So i enjoyed my Coffee ice cream, walnuts and extra peanut butter sauce with whipped cream. It was so delicious
Perhaps there are more exquisite dining options available elsewhere, however, on this fine evening I was delighted with an affordable and delictable dining experience. I purchased a medium sundae, and my two companions ordered a sherbet waffle cone and an M&M frenzy. The flavor - it was superb. Truly one of the best ice creams I have ever consumed and utterly obliterated.Perhaps other visitors may have claimed a diabolical experience, but this could not have been further from the case at the Marlborough establishment.The service lives up to the name, that being Friendly. As Benjamin Franklin wrote ever so eloquently in the Bill of Rights, "You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream." Thank you to everyone for your service and a night to remember.
The wait was horrible. First, there was no host at the stand for 5 minutes. We had to wait. Was told 15 min wait and we waited the 15 min. And then asked and they said another 15 min. But half the restaurant was empty! The food was good and the manager was very nice and so was our waitress
Lack of help and direction by manager.Staff was doing there best to fill orders.I am positive it was a weather related occurrence.As in every Business the Mangers are ultimately to blameSTAFF⭐⭐⭐⭐MANAGEMENT⭐⭐
As I was paying for my to-go order ... which I wanted to do the drive thru but it closed at 4 pm. So as I was paying for my order I used the "Tap To Pay" on the reader ... I saw a digital check mark and then saw "Approved" ... so I go to put my card away but the cashier tells me "Oh it didn't go through there was an issue" ... she says something I couldn't fully understand and then asks me to use the card again... so this time I inserted the chip side into to reader ... again, same digital check mark and "Approved" ... AGAIN ... So as the cashier was walking away I checked my bank account and see that the charge went through TWICE. I bring it up to the girl who then tells me "My card wasn't in the till so it wouldn't have counted but the money will be refunded back to you" So between the supervisor with the hair bun and a few customers I was made to feel that I was WRONG for having extra money charged that I would have to wait for refund. This was absolutely wrong to happen and wasn't like I used a credit card (which would still have the balance affected) so it is my bank account that I now have to wait. Then I also realized 3 parts of my order were wrong... again attributed to the cashier who took the order who I specifically asked for two chocolate sundaes with hot fudge on the side ... and one the maker showed me the receipt that it didn't show either on the side... he put fudge directly on one and M and Ms on the other ... luckily I saw it and told him and he was able to give me one of the hot fudge on the side... and then I realized in the car that they got one of the friend zs wrong NOT A GOOD visit
I give it a four star. Food was good but they were way under staffed for a friendlys with a drive through and a sit down restaurant.. the staff did the best they could for a busy place.
Food & service was excellent. First time trying a burger here, they did a fantastic job. We went around lunch time, so not super busy. Tried coming back a couple weeks later for dinner, line was out the door. Pretty sure the staff was short staffed & overwhelmed
Surprisingly,counter service was very good for ice cream. The bad electronic menu boards were down and credit card machine was not working. Fancy newer Friendly's with typical old fashioned Friendly's issues.
UPDATE: Gave them another chance. Ordered fried shrimp and a large sundae with vanilla, chocolate, lemon ice creamand hot fudge, marshmallow, strawberries toppings. Order came without any condiments despite specifically selecting tartar sauce. Worst of all though was the "large sundae." Instead of 3 scoops of ice cream in flavors vanilla, chocolate and lemon, it had 1 solitary scoop of vanilla. I'm not sure if they were out of the other flavors or what, but if that's the case why not at least 3 scoops of vanilla? Or notify the customer and let them make another selection?? It was also missing the marshmallow topping. The large sundae cup was just COVERED in whipped cream, all over this 1 little scoop of vanilla, so it looked full. Really pathetic, especially because Friendlys is known for it's ice cream. My vote? Never eat here. TERRIBLE service, missing food despite charging full price. I know there are supply shortages, but that doesn't excuse charging for food that is not served.I placed a delivery order tonight at 6:30pm, estimated to arrive in 30-45 mins. The estimate kept getting pushed back by half hour increments when suddenly at 8:00pm it was abruptly canceled by Friendly's. Why it took them 90 minutes to cancel my order I don't know. In that hour and a half from 6:30 to 8:00 most of the restaurants in this suburban area stopped taking orders, so it's scrounge-the-freezer or Top Ramen cup noodles for dinner tonight. Thanks for not being friendly, Friendly's.
Terrible. Just went through the drive thru a little while ago and not only was the service super slow, there were multiple issues with my order. Didn’t take off ingredients I requested, didn’t include either of the sauces we requested, my drink was overfilled and spilling everywhere. Worst of all the burger had a HAIR in it. Disgusting, will never come back here.
