My daughter and I were in the area for a figure skating camp and found this gem on a Google search. I had the colorful and aromatic street tacos and shared the spring rolls with my daughter. She had the noodle salad with spicy shrimp. We splurged and both had the brown sugar milk tea with boba. The tacos were wonderful. They restored my faith in finding authentic Vietnamese food outside of the country. My daughter savored her salad and the shrimp never stood a chance at being leftover. The spring rolls were among the best I’ve ever had. We ordered and paid for the food at a counter and it was prepared quickly and served with a smile. The people were kind and seemed to enjoy being there and serving authentic Vietnamese food. I highly recommend you visit if you find yourself in the area…
The place is 100% misleading!!! The prices we were charged do not match the prices advertised in the restaurant nor the menu. I was told 5.50 for large bona and charged 6... it took 10 mins for me to even be greeted and my order taken. The food isn't worth the price at all... wayyy overpriced for what you get!!! There are better Vietnamese food in Sudbury and other neighboring cities/towns. I didn't have the heart to leave after waiting so long... but save yourself the trip.
I am so so sad. I love this place but this will be my last time. I loved it for its cheap eats, quick meals and delicious food. This small sandwich and iced coffee was just shy of 20 dollars. The ingredients I can buy for less and make. Which I plan too. There are only so many Vietnamese places in the metrowest and I’ve adored this place. I will savor every bite and say goodbye. I can’t justify a street sandwich being so expensive.
An Nam used to be really, really good when they first opened. And then gradually, over time, the quality started going down. Today's order was quite disappointing. We stick to the basics - Pho, Chicken/Rice bowls, and spring rolls. Well, the Pho was extra oily/fatty today. The layer of fat on top of the chicken broth was thick and highly visible. Even my daughter noticed the "greasiness" while eating the soup. The chicken and rice bowl quality has gone down, but this relatively "new" yellow rice is terrible. Again, less healthy, tasteless and overcooked. There used to be brown or plain white rice as options...what happened to that!? Lastly, the shrimp spring rolls were just sad, to say the least. If I'm not mistaken, there used to be mint leaves or basil leaves in the roll for flavor. Today was just noodles, carrots, wilted lettuce, a hunk of cucumber along with three tiny shrimps split length-wise between the two rolls. That's 1.5 tiny shrimps per roll! Just curious if this place has changed owners. I usually don't write reviews, but had to say something after today's disappointment. ?
Their Pho is perfection. I like that their menu is small so everything on it is a 10/10.
My son & I both ordered meals and drinks separately. She asked each of us, when we ordered, if we wanted to tip, which I think is rude. We both said no. I said, We're getting takeout. I ordered the Rice Bowl. Everything tasted old, even the cucumbers. The meat was hard, the rice was hard, either old or undercooked. The eggs were a strange brown color. I will try and post a picture. So, I guess we were supposed to tip if we wanted fresh food.
My choice as a first timer was the garlic noodles. The portion was perfect and the bowl was tasty. From my initial impression, I will definitely return and try other items on the menu. Everything looks great.
Good banh mi and an nam bowl
Tasty restaurant
Bobas are nasty! We drove a ways away to get boba and the lady did not know what she was doing and it was nasty.
