Food very good. Restaurant clean. Nice service and servers. :)
One of the best dimsum around Boston area! I much prefer Sun Kong than those in chinatown which are super crowded, overpriced with smaller portions. Portions here at Sun Kong is good and the dimsum is yummy! The baked egg yolk custard buns were so delicious! Their fried squid is also very good. Har kow, siew mai and chee cheong fun were all very tasty! I’m planning to come back for more soon!
People somehow raved about this dim sum place in malden but I see nothing to be excited about . Drives was slow and staffs standing around talking not paying attention to the customer’s needs . The dim sum was pretty stale , food been sitting out there all dried up and cold . Nothing fresh or tasteful here. Was very disappointed that I drove all the way up to malden for bad dim sum.
Good food, we enjoy it for the sake of DimSum not in Chinatown. I usually have to wait a bit longer than I think I have to to get my carryout. I often have people cutting in front of me simply because I am a quiet person. I am standing right in front of the guy though.
Moving away from Massachusetts, I've not been able to get REAL Chinese food! So every trip back I make it my point to get to Chinatown. This trip I found my favorite place permanently closed. ?I had only been to Sun Kong once for Dim Sum but was willing to give my favorite dishes a try; lobster with ginger and scallions, salt & pepper squid and pork chops, pea pod stems and Chinese broccoli.Sun Kong did not disappoint! ????
Food is okay, the impressive part is their service. After paying, you have to leave immediately, don’t use the restroom or even finish the tea you are holding. Otherwise the waiter will kick you out. Way to get your table turnover rate. Good job!
Of you are not familiar with specific types of Asian food, I would not recommend, it's nothing like the traditional places.Other than that, I won't give 5 stars because they don't explain properly how the menu works, they just leave 2 papers and you mark the numbers of the food you want, with the size. Here's is the trick, you can choose from small to XXL but in reality the majority of it only comes in large sizes. They don't let you know prior to order, so when you get the check, you get surprised because you are expecting a way cheaper bill than what they give you.I'm very disappointed by that and won't recommend it to anyone.
Best dim sum in Boston as of now! Ate here before probably before the pandemic, and it was just ok. Today (a Monday) the food was outstanding. Our favorite dishes were the short ribs, baked custard buns the garlic chive dumplings, calamari, tripe, pork ribs. The other's were very good (rice wrap, stuffed eggplant, clams, and others). The baked custard bun was probably the most outstanding. It was hot, soft, perfectly sweetened, and just perfect! Service was equally good in that everything came super fast, waitstaff were all attentive and pleasant. Can't wait to come back! Oh, and they have their own parking lot!
One of the best Dim Sum places in Boston area. I was born in south China and this place offers really authentic Dim Sum. My wife and I are big fans for this place. Price wise, it’s also very reasonable. Strongly recommended!
