I went to El Potro last night to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We wanted to try some place new. I can't believe I have lived in the area so long and never thought to check it out. I have definitely been missing out!!The service was easily the best service I've ever had at any restaurant. Sady was the nicest person and made my Dad's birthday so special. He brought us things on the house and was just so unbelievably kind. He made us feel at home.You have to try the margaritas. We had a huge passion fruit margarita that was so perfect and not overly sweet like at other places.The food was amazing and had the best, most authentic flavor. We had chips with the dip trio, the appetizer sampler, and for my dinner I had the Camarones al Potro. I couldn't believe the size of the dish for the price. Such great value. It was absolutely delicious and there were so many big pieces of shrimp! I was so full I was able to take some home and will get at least one more meal out of it. After dinner, Sady brought my dad a cake and a put a sombrero on him. It was so sweet and so much fun. This is definitely going to be my new neighborhood spot.
My friends and I came here for dinner before a show in Medford and it did not dissapoint. The reviews said great service and I now know why. My friend dropped salsa on her shirt and before she could ask for napkins the waiter had brought over soda water and a napkin for her. The food was fantastic, highly recommend the nachos and burritos, and the service was out of this world. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
First time there. Everything was great! Will go back. Fish Tacos, Enchilada Sueza and Churros with Vanilla Ice Cream.
I’ve been here three times. The first two were great. Came here yesterday for the third time. Food was much to be desired. The service was horrible. Long waits for food when there was literally three quarters of the place empty. Apps came out cold and very dry. Tasted like the stuff sat out before we got them. The super nachos had the little cheese that was ok then totally melted and cold. We then had to wait quite a while for the main dishes. The only ones that were served hot was the fajitas. The other theee dishes were cold and lacked flavor…
I have to give this a one star.. I'll explain... I came here two other times last year and found it was really great. Service was awesome, food was robust in flavor.. Fast forward to now.. Service wasn't great. The woman couldn't really understand me. Food came out COLD. Not warm. COLD.. We got the Super Nachos (Which we've enjoyed before) - it looked like they were sitting out for a while - cheese melted and dry.. Then the entrees came. The only ones came out hot were the fajitas. Everyone else's dishes were, yet again, COLD. The dishes lacked flavor. The refried beans looked like baby food out of a jar. We were very much disappointed. Not sure if I'll give it another chance.
Great place I highly recommend this place the food was great and I mean awesome and I celebrated my birthday too here and the staff was so pleasant polite I wish I can give this place 10 Stars very happy ?, I will definitely be coming back soon?

One of our all-time favs for special occasions or any ol' night...fresh ingredients, well prepared, tasty dishes! Love the Picado Mixta bc it has a little bit of everything. Salads good, monster burritos, tender chicken. Enjoy!
Waitress totally disinterested in serving us...they didnt have the drink i wanted so i obviously needed time to look at another , but she gave me a weird stare .... whilst eating, she dropped in oir cheque without asking if we needed anything more. 2 stars because the food was good.
This place is fantastic! Management is great all across the board. Friendly service and delicious food! The place is clean, great music, and overall unbeatable atmosphere. I’m glad I live within walking distance, I’m here all the time! Check it out!
