Life Alive’s existence is a blessing. I dub them as “the clinic” and purchase a few of their bowls at a time when experiencing cold or flu symptoms. In a market oversaturated with simple, refined carbohydrates (processed sugars) and foods containing little to no nutritional content for one’s physical and mental maintenance, I happily frequent this establishment to purchase leafy greens and whole grains on the go.In addition to soups, smoothies and teas that are truly made from scratch, they also produce their own vinaigrette recipes to compliment their steamed dishes, which tastefully serve as a metaphorical cherry on top.But, as a weightlifter, my one and only complaint about this exceptional restaurant is their unwillingness to sell animal proteins along with their grains and greens. However, this unwillingness is deliberate and a principled stance. It is presumably based on ethical concerns surrounding the treatment of animals and other environmental matters, so I am totally understanding of this. Thus, not a single star will be taken away from this review.Otherwise, the genuinely whole food that is served at Life Alive is worth every single penny spent. As a loyal customer, I cannot recommend and praise this establishment enough. This country desperately needs more Life Alives and far less of businesses that are detrimental to our health, such as McDonald’s.
I have loved this place for many years. It's the only place like it around here! Mostly vegan. They are always friendly and the food is always consistent and delicious! Great artsy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

great food, friendly staff, amazing plant based organic food! my only con is it’s a lil pricey but having a place where i can eat almost everything on the menu instead of eliminating everything but fries or a salad cuz it’s got meat is a price i'm willing to pay.
A long time favorite. Easy to find vegan gluten free meals. Second time now that I’ve ordered the Rainbow Harvest bowl and found it to be overwhelmingly garlicky. I’m sensitive to garlic so had a hard (and uncomfortable) time digesting. Nowhere in the menu description is “garlic” mentioned, so I’m mentioning this as a reminder to myself and heads up to others.We also got the Thai Peanut Sutra and vegan chili which were delicious.Everyone is super friendly and bubbly, and I will always love the plant friendly bathroom.
Delightful and inventive combinations for meals and drinks, with many vegan options. Prices were reasonable, or even low, for high quality organic food. Atmosphere was warm and casual.

I generally like Life Alive(Lowell) and it’s a healthy option in the area. They make eating healthier taste good but sometimes I get annoyed with the freshness of their food or the lack there of… my avocado that I paid extra for was brown and has red marks on it. My broccoli also has some brown discoloration on it. I understand that we are in a pandemic but I also spend my hard earned money and expect to get fresh food. *ugh*
This place is amazing. You can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu. The ginger lemon drink is incredible. I'll say that portion sizes are on the smaller side, but delicious and priced right for what you get. My only regret is there's not a Life Alive closer to my house.
