And if you can’t muster up the patience while many restaurants are still struggling with staffing issues due to the pandemic, or afford to give a PROPER tip ….Do everyone a favor and STAY HOME ?
It was delicious food, once we finally had a wait person! It was a little frustrating to my husband and I that we weren't asked if we wanted to sit in the dining room rather than the bar. I ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken, and the waitstaff didn't place the order with the chicken (despite having told me once I pointed out that it was missing that she recalled me having ordered it). After waiting for 17 minutes for a wait person to take our drink order, I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the chicken for my order .
It’s pretty rare for a place to have such good reviews but then to have a poor experience there. My girlfriend and I stopped in whilst driving through the state. We ordered two clam chowders and nothing else on Saturday lunchtime when the restaurant & bar were a third full. It took 45 minutes to arrive and was lukewarm when it did come out. Taste wise it was good but nothing special.We had asked if it was possible to get bread with the clam chowder but this request was never mentioned again. We were quite prepared to pay a few dollars more or similar for a slice or two of bread. Even just saying sorry - it’s not possible would have been okay.I don’t think 45m is an unacceptably long wait for a complex dish but for something that’s just getting reheated it’s too long.The wait staff apologised for the delay (and they didn’t apply the 7.5% kitchen tip) so I assume it is not normally this slow but I wanted to add our experience to Google in case anyone else is driving through and wants a quick lunch.
I’m from Lowell and never has cobblestone food. Last night my friends and family decided to try the oysters on Tuesday. There was 8 of us and our server Vanessa kept forgetting our drinks over and over again which was so annoying. We ordered 6 dozen of oysters and was told we can’t order anymore and we only received 5 orders. Granted there was only 12 people in the restaurant and that’s including my party of 8. We ordered appetizers and of course that came out with our dinner. Myself and boyfriend ordered the steak tips. I ordered medium rare and he ordered medium well. When our food came my steak was over done and his was rare. We asked if they chef can remake it. That’s was not the problem. The problem was my steak was rare and the side of mashed I asked for was solid ICE potatoes and his was mud. My sisters ordered the fish and chips and there was more batter on the fish that they couldn’t even get to the fish itself. Also, those dishes was served with cold burnt fries. It was the worse experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. As a waitress for 10 years I expected more and not just serve us horrible food. We spent over 500.00 and it was a waste! Very very disappointed in the service and the food.
I know that many establishments are understaffed, but the wait for service here was inexcusably long. Although we were seated and our orders were taken quickly, it was in excess of an hour before any food found its way to our table, with apologies. The food was no better than ordinary, though very pricey. AND a COVID surcharge was added to the bill, which we were told we could decline to pay. (Who does that, especially the company of others?)
Food was excellent, staff attentive and pleasing atmosphere! Will be back soon!!!

The flagship of the Stones empire for a reason. Great food, great service and a lively bar. This isn't a cheap burger and fry operation, everything from a filet, prime rib, short rib mac and truffle fries make this a fun date spot.

Was excited to try Sunday brunch here with my wife so made a 1pm reservation. There was a nice buzz coming from the bar and a sign at the hostess station directing us to head to either the bar or dining room depending on preference. We headed to the dining room and after standing in the doorway for 5 minutes and being ignored by the wait staff we headed back to the bar. I asked the nice lady behind the bar what we were supposed to do and she said “give me a sec and I’ll come and track down your table”. We returned to the hostess station, waited there for another 5 mins while she waited on people in the bar area and since she showed no sign of coming out we abandoned the idea and had a nice meal at a Greek place nearby. Not her fault they don’t have a hostess but there seemed to be no one in charge.
