Got the cheeseburger which was just okay. On the smaller side for $8.49 and was a bit dry. The toppings were okay, nothing special. The bun was pretty basic. Standard bun slightly toasted. Ordered fries and sweet potato fries. Threw the fries out. They were stale, overall hard and nasty with a ton of salt. The sweet potato fries were basically the frozen kind from the super market and were mushy. Overall a very disappointing experience. If overpriced mediocre food is your thing, go for it.

Great menu! Awesome food! Never disappointed with this place. Fun to stop when riding in the rail trail.

After reading a lot of the reviews online about Sookie's, I decided to give the place a try based on the feedback I encountered. My assumption prior to arriving was that I would be getting food with the same quality of taste as New York and Kennedy Fried Chicken, Popeye's, Haverhill's Chicken Connection, and a few other burger/chicken joints in the Boston area. Sadly, I would prefer consuming hospital food before ever considering Sookie's again -- no, no, I wouldn't ever consider Sookie's.What We Ordered: Mac and Cheese, Parmesan Wings, Chili Cheese Fries, Mash and Gravy, and a Fried Chicken Family Meal w/Cornbread.The Experience: The parmesan wings were heavily salted but possessed a low amount of flavor. Salt should not be the only seasoning used for wings like this and there were other spices that could have been used to perfect the flavor. The side of bleu cheese I ordered tasted like it was made in the shop which is fine, but it tasted old and I could not identify the flavor. The mac and cheese tasted like unseasoned, salt-less pasta cooking in a expired cheese sauce. There.was.absolutely.no.flavor.or.love with the mac; no parmesan cheese, mild cheddar, butter, milk, buttermilk, dijon mustard (for those who prefer it), or mayo (for the poor people who know how to hook up a box of Kraft's mac on a budget). The pasta was dry and whatever cheese powder they use was hanging on to the pasta for dear life. The gravy was tasteless; it was chicken broth and flour and the color was more gray than it was deep brown. The viscosity was questionable and led me to believe it was prepared some time ago, reheated, and served. After watching a few Gordan Ramsey shows, and not that I expect Gordan Ramsey food to be available in a small burger shop, I can tell food is not cooked fresh to order and/or it is cooked days before and served to the public. The cornbread was good, no complaints. The Chili Cheese Fries were disappointing and while the chili and the cheese wasn't bad, the fries were stiff, dry, and tasted old sort of like my expressed belief that food is cooked days before, stored and served. The fried chicken was cooked thoroughly; however, it didn't taste fresh and the crust was a bit bland. It wasn't remarkable or at least good enough to continue eating with some level of enjoyment.Lastly, the mash -- whew, okay. Like the mac, the mashed potatoes was simply hot water and powdered potatoes with absolutely no flavor. There was no butter, butter flakes, salt, pepper for those who prefer it, no love -- absolutely nothing. There was a lot to be left to the imagination and not to mention, there were chunks of undercooked powder in clumps inside the mash. Why would anyone serve something so.........bad? I would opt-in to hospital mash with a side of salt packets any day.To be fair, I don't know if this place is under new management or if they hired a bad cook, but the food we received today was awful. I don't like issuing negative reviews about small businesses but there is a lot that needs to be fixed and I haven't even tried 25% of the menu. This place is bad and if anyone has experienced what I've experienced and still claims this food is worthy of 4-star reviews, you have a tongue disorder, live a sheltered life, or just don't know what good food is.

Loved it. Very friendly staff, excellent fried chicken. Sides were also great. Mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac and cheese, baked beans...all very good. You should give it a try!

Little bit of an issue with asking for a different type of bun due to allergies. However, burgers were good. Fries were also good. Overall good experience. Cute location but a little hard to navigate how to enter if you're not from the area. We were pretty quickly able to figure it out though. If we end up in the area again would probably go back.

Fair prices. Cheerful and accommodating staff. Soup, chilli, bisques, bunch of french fry options, salads, seafood, Burger, chicken & wings, kids menu and Hershey's ice cream options.Everything looked good. Went in hungry. So many options. We got the 2pc chicken. It comes with 2 sides and 2 corn muffins. Really crunchy but still juicy chicken. The Bake beans and mashed potatoes with gravy, potato salad and garlic green beans. The baked beans could have been warmer and the potato salad had too much pickle/relish for my liking. Overall everything was good and SO filling. I had my eye on the fried ice cream but didn't make it to the ice cream.

I’m from CT and found out about this place from a coworker, lucky for me I was doing a delivery in the area. First things first the lady taking the orders was extremely helpful and kind which is always a plus, I ordered the Rodeo burger because it’s one of my all time favorites, this burger was absolutely amazing, you get a generous amount of onion rings inside the burger, once again that is a plus! The tater tots were nice and crunchy and not oily at all. I would love to go back when I get the chance and try a different burger.

Hidden Gem ? Homemade sauces, handmade onion rings.. everything as it should be. Really excited to try more items. I had the Asian Cheesesteak, it was amazing.
