Stopped in because I was in the mood for a good, classic breakfast and that is exactly what I got. Food was fast, hot and delicious and my coffee cup was never empty. My waitress, Claire, was excellent. Everyone was friendly. I ordered the split decision breakfast.

A nice experience at Sunnyside. We lived in Lawrence 50 years ago and were pleased with the food, but especially the friendly service. Our first time there and unlikely to return because we live out of state. We were in the area for a short visit, but if you live nearby, consider stopping in.

I have been here few times. One of the best places to eat breakfast around Lawrence. Staffs are friendly and kind. I also like the atmosphere.
Breakfast was tasteful, everything was cooked not stock. The waiter was very friendly and engaging. Will go again.
First time at the Sunnyside Diner was today--and I'll be back. Breakfast was served quickly (though I wasn't in a rush, and they certainly didn't rush me), and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive. I'll be back in the area next month and plan to go back.
If I could give this place a 6 stars I would. The service was great, my brother had an accident with the eggs and our waiter Frances made sure to get him new eggs right away. We haven’t had many good experiences with waiters but Frances truly made our experience exceptional. The food was delicious, the best home fries I’ve ever had. I suggest coming here!
Claire was our waitress and she was so sweet, happy and attentive. My daughter got the M&M pancakes.. Huge and enough for breakfast and reheated for lunch at home. The food was good, it came out very fast & the coffee was piping hot. Claire was the best. I'm sure this place gets a lot of regulars because of her. Friendly & positive atmosphere. I would definitely go back.
I was greeted by a friendly waitress who brought coffee immediately. I was the only early morning customer. I ordered corned beef hash and eggs with toast and homefries; everything but the homefries were great. The home fries were just potatoes-no onions- and seemed to have been deep fried and were flavorless. The waitress brought numerous coffee refills. When I asked her about the homefries she said sometimes the cook deep fries them. He shouldn't - that's what the griddle is for. I would go again.
