Been to the Phoenician many times over the years and this by far was the worst experience. The food just wasnât the same, mediocre at best and overpriced. The basic Mediterranean dishes were lacking flavor and the steak was undercooked.
The food was amazing! This was our first time here as we were traveling for my sonâs baseball team. Our waitress was running the entire floor and doing a superb job.
We love the Phoenician, but was surprised the food went downhill. The hummus which we love there, was so full of oil, and the pickled turnip is no more. The baked stiluffed clams were rubbery and the overall meal was just average. We were disappointed not the usual but could have been a bad day Fatherâs Day.
We have very goof friends who used to love Bishops so we suggested the Phoenician. They used to love the lamb chops. When we arrived there was a function that ran over in the main dining room so we were seated in the bar area..would have preferred the main dining room. When our friends placed their dinner order they were informed there was no lamb of any kind available. Our server Mary delivered the bad news as best as possible. Mary was awesome and saved the night. We are hoping that our next visit to the Phoenician lamb will be back on the menu.
Came here last week.. we pre-ordered 2 Bake stuffed lobsters .. which both were over cooked.. The shells were so hard we could barely get the lobster out of the shell.. My brother ordered the surf and turf he asked for his prime rib med rare it came out very rare .. he told the waitress he wanted med rare .. she told him that's the way the way they cook it.. never offered to take it back.. very disappointing with our meals especially after paying 355.00.. For that price our meals should have been spectacular... The only meal that came out good was my husband's he got the haddock.. Don't think we will be returning back
We usually are very pleased with the friendly staff here. We looked on internet to find it would open at 12:00 for Mother’s Day. Drove from NH, got there a little early so sat outside as staff arrived. We went in at noon to find out that they decided to change the time to 1:00 but never fixed it online. Their only comments were oh well you can sit outside for another hour if you want. Very disappointed with outcome and attitude.
Best Food about for Medditeranean. Fresh Lebanese cuisine. Delicious and Fresh.
Our favorite place to go. However, several menu was not available. The replacement items were ok, but disappointed when celebrating a special occasion. Call ahead to confirm menu item availability.
Very nice restaurant - with good food. Just good though - I have been to other Middle Eastern Restaurants and they have had much better flavor. Drinks were okay and service was a bit slow despite it being rather quiet on a Friday evening. I would go again but only if my usual Middle Eastern Restaurant was booked.
Always a great go to place! Never disappointed and the best Clams Casino and Phoenician Shrimp.
