Well sugar magnolias is now closing for a couple months in the winter. I have been there twice and I really think it's a great place. The staff is so friendly and I love going to places in Gloucester.
I'm sorry I didn't have lunch here sooner! This place is busy for a good reason. The food is delicious, I particularly loved the Green Giant rap and broccoli slaw. I would love to recreate them at home but so much better just to go have it on site!
Get their pineapple fritters and the homemade cinnamon raisin bread! It is delicious. don't shy away from the more creative menu items either. I tried the rocky neck omelette (linguica and orange marmalade) while everyone in my party balked at it. I was pleasantly surprised!
