I tried to give this restaurant 3 stars because of the service and location,, but the food and proportions were not up to "average". I dined at Minglewood for the first time since it changed ownership. This restaurant has a fantastic location on Gloucester's beautiful harbor. I was with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren and it was a beautiful evening so we sat outside. The wait staff were great and we felt well taken care of. I ordered the fish taco which I've always enjoyed at different venues and was never disappointed.. Minglewood served me two small blobs of fish, some non-descript sauce and a couple slivers of cabbage in very soggy tacos. The side was rice dotted with black beans. The rice was just okay, nothing special, but the tacos were a great disappointment. I wasn't impressed by the other food served at our table because of the cost versus the measly proportions. My daughter's clam chowder was mostly potatoes and not the "New England" type chowder listed on the menu. It's not worth going back just for the view and service. Really too bad.
Great spot to grab good drinks and food. Harborside seating is awesome. Been through a few changes but still a solid place. Waitstaff is great.

Early saturday evening, first time here since it changed up. Sat outside on deck ordered appetizer tuna tartar and some mango sushi, was good. Dinner was baked haddock and I ordered the salmon dinner with rice. Just mediocre. Shout out to staff though as they were short handed and kept things rolling in spite of that.
Consistently delicious. Freshest seafood. Tuna is amazing.
