Have been here for excellent coffee, but this was the first time we got sandwiches for the beach. They were good and excellent quick service as well.
Always a reliable place to get a nice cup of coffee or espresso drink along with pastries, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. The service is prompt and friendly. Try them out rather than the ubiquitous chain with redundant locations in the area. Open at 6a, so perfect for grabbing something to go watch the sunrise at Good Harbor down the road.
Horrible Service - terrible food!The service here was terrible. They didn't seem to want to serve us - perhaps we didn't look like the norm crowd eating there - senior white Americans. The quiche we ordered the crust was raw underneath. The latte had too much milk could hardly taste the coffee. The plant based one we ordered, the oat milk was off. They made another one with almond milk but were not apologetic at all that the oat milk was off. Would never go back!
Hoping that the owners will take a look at recent reviews and make staff changes. I went here every single day for many months after moving to Gloucester and the service and quality have really hit rock bottom. I keep hoping to resume my regular schedule, but am disappointed almost every time I give Cape Ann Coffees another shot. It seems ludicrous given historic excellent reviews that recent reviews about watery burnt coffee or flavored milk as lattes could be true, but sadly they are. I don’t even know how this happens, but it is clearly staff related. There is a significant improvement whenever the owners are present.

What a shame that this prime location can not seem to get my order right almost every time I go. Now as of recently if I order a coffee what I get is a glass of flavored milk. If you enjoy coffee and would like your sandwich to come out the way you ordered it I would suggest to go elsewhere. May I add I only order from what is on the menus without any special request and although there prices are the highest in town, they still seem to not be able to get it right.
Good bagel, not great, but better than chain options.
