Meh…staff seems courteous enough, but it seems they are working on some prescribed food service zombie “procedure” and going through the motions more than being attentive or welcoming in any personal, friendly way. They don’t seem to care if you come back much. Eat in Example: Takes order, comes back with food/coffee, comes back in under 2 minutes, anything else? Well I’m all set I guess 1:32 minutes later, (I’ve taken one bite and it was disappointing really). Gone. That’s all you get, no check in for re-fill. I had to walk over to the counter to pay bill after 15 minutes of no show after managing to eat about half a meal. Which, was a bit on the high side for 3 pancakes and two bacon strips at 20 bucks? Especially this quality. No re-fills and being abandoned added to the bill apparently. Most importantly, how was the food? Well “breakfast all day” at CJ’s is more like “breakfast cooked this morning and left under a heat lamp all day” Pancakes were dry and firm, not fluffy and not the delicious kind any pancake fan hopes for. Bacon was mostly burnt blackened, meager sized strips thrown unceremoniously next to the pan-pucks. Coffee was slightly burnt and tasted about 3-4 hours old, so basically, I wasn’t too heartbroken about no re-fill request. Overall: 2 stars, weak, barely halfway effort here in service and food prep. They literally seem to be going through the motions of serving food, whatever the quality, just getting paid for that, not even a “have a nice day” when leaving.

The top review of the woman threatening to call the police over some meat she wanted cooked more is ridiculous. How are you going to type out that you're going to call the cops on them then get upset when the manager says you're intimidating the staff? Lmao. I love CJs and I go there after work all the time for some quick and easy food.

My co worker suggested I try CJs since I just wanted a salad. Drove over and ordered a steak tip salad for $13.00. When I got back to the office my coworker asked to see my salad as she never had one from there. When I showed her, she said they could not spare you some salad, looks like you got beat. I went and got my salad from my coworker and brought it to my desk and opened it up to see nine very small pieces of steak that was still bleeding and barely any lettuceI immediately call the diner and spoke w my order taker. I made my complaint and asked if I could come back in to get better meat. I was told he would speak to his manager. About 10 minutes later I went back to the diner. The experience became more horrific. I was told the manager via phone said I could purchase new meat which they would cook to my liking. I ask for a replacement or a refund, I was told that was the solution. I then asked to meet w the manager, this is was told she was on the phone and she said I can take her number and call her tomorrow. I was not impressed. I told the young man I would proceed to call the police if I did not get a refund. About 3 minutes later the gentleman came back apologize for not asking me how I would like my food cooked and took ownership, however his manager ask that I now talk to her on their restaurant phone. I asked him, the three times you called her, you explained why I was here correct, he replied yes. So after I tell you to tell her I'm going to call the police, she now wants to talk, I thought she wasn't available until tomorrow I will wait for the police I said.Shortly thereafter, I seen a large 8 passenger GMC truck barreling in the driveway. A lady jumped out and stormed into the diner. She immediately approached me asking if I was waiting for a salad before I could answer she told me I wasn't getting a refund and to leave or she was calling the police I was trespassing. I said yes call them.As we waited you could hear her yelling and swearing and accusing me of intimidating her staff. The officers showed up and heard both sides of our story, which is what I needed, a refund would be nice but that's a civil matter so I wasn't expecting that. I just needed a report for future civil action and to stop payment w my credit card company.I must note that the actions and attitude of the officers empowered this woman to feel as though she entitled to charge ridiculously high prices, give you raw food and then deny you a refund. Here is the kicker, in the restaurant they posted an advisory from the board of health about consuming raw or undercooked meat.None of that matter not even visibly pregnant black woman standing 5 feet and never raised my voice. RAW MEATThe last thing the manager said was now she wants to record, to that I assured her I recorded the entire incident just as I was recorded in her establishment so to reserve her tapes and govern herself accordingly. Not only did I get served raw meat, robbed for $16.00 I was then a victim of bias if not flat out racism. I really want to know what about me intimidated her staff and the whole incidence is recorded so again please preserve that footage CJ's

Jack was the best server I have ever had, very attentive and food was amazing.

Excellent food and service. Many menu choices.

3 of us went to a Breakfast and breakfastWas opened up with a 30Lb...Bag of BEEFSTEAK&EEGS...TOAST HOME FRIES VERY GOOD ? BUT NO BODY WAS COMING IN FROM THE OUT SIDE....VERY DIFFERENTPRICES ARE COSTLY WHERE EVER YOU GO OR DO.....CLEAN ALWAYS WAS OWNER GREAT MAN...TAKE OUT IS GOODFAST ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO NOTRUSH YOUR SELF.....OK FOLKSHAVE A GREAT DAY ?......

I ordered an open faced turkey sandwich, and found it to be extremely salty. If turkey is freshly cooked, it should not be salty.

A very nice family, friendly, clean café with great food and a friendly hard working staff! Prices are very reasonable and they will always make menu substitutions with out charging. This cafe deserves a 5 star and a lot of other restaurants do especially in such hard times. As I read some comments on this cafe and other restaurants people such stop and think before posting comments. Post facts not assumptions and ask for management. Unless you want to be that guy?. Everyone works extremely hard for their business and some businesses will have kids that might not have as much experience than others but give them a chance. Call management before posting. No one goes to work saying, oh I’m going to destroy someone’s dining experience. To the man who posted a comment about bringing in outside food without asking due to your child being autistic, it’s a health code violation to do that. Since it wasn’t busy and probably in their down time in between rushes maybe you should have just asked instead of bringing it in on your own. Kind of doesn’t make sense that you say someone has an attitude because they are doing their job and protecting all patrons coming in. I have a child thats allergic to nuts and they will put the ice cream walnuts out back so we can sit at the bar in our favorite seats. Everyone is very tired and over worked trying to get through the pandemic so everyone should try and be a little bit nicer! Pay it forward!

The worst steak and cheese I've ever had. It was bland/underseasoned and the steak was large chunks instead of smaller pieces like they should be. I was so disappointed. ?

Love the breakfast choices. Best French toast.
