This is an authentic Portuguese restaurant. It is good, fress, genuine, tasty, generous, and most of all - you feel at home. We started with goat cheeses. Big mistake :-) it was so good with the bread and we almost had too much of it. The shrimps were the next course, while they were tasty, we needed to dip the bread in the divine gravy that was spicy and wonderful. The octupus dish was the crown jewel, a huge dish, enough for two persons. With 2 glasses (for me) of great house wine, the meal was pefect. I will return.
This is a superior restaurant.Among the very best in eastern Mass.From the moment you open the door someone is solicitous of your needs.You are greeted immediately and shown to a table of your liking.As you sit another person comes by to greet you and ask if you would like a beverage.That is promptly delivered and then you have time to select your meal.Everything looked and is good, but today swordfish, pork chop and a seafood medley in bouliabase was the wishes of our group.To say it was fabulous is to not give it enough praisePlz, go try it for yourself as that is the only way you can truly appreciate its subtly and flavor.This is a local and destination eatery.
Menu covers a variety of moods and the servings are in good portion. Each plate is served with artistry and your taste buds won't be disappointed. The waiters could use some smiles and attention to you. The waiter that sitted us treated us as though we weren't welcome; it may just be a personality but it was odd. The waiter that took our order was better but we were lacking attention as we couldn't get steak source and we had to hail to get our bill. Parking is at premium, if you can find it.
Over-rated. Food was mediocre. Service was awful, had reservations, table wasn't ready until 15 minutes later even though restaurant was empty. Go to Estoril for THE BEST steak plate in the city!
Great food, great wait staff and it's a classy place. I haven't had food this good in a long time. Worth the money. My only issue was parking, but it was worth the trouble.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant - The service was rushed , rude, and wait staff were MIA - then when you would ask for bread a drink or even a fork we were told you'll need to ask someone else. The Food was Great as usual however timing between appetizers and dinner were completely rushed and basically we all felt like they were just dying for us to leave.
This place was great. It was a Saturday night a d the place was full. But they found us 4 seats at the bar. I had a chicken plate that was incredibly delicious. The amount of food was more than we could eat so it made a second meal. Service was good. First time there but would go back again.
Excellent food, great service, beautiful decor throughout. I had lunch with a client and thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. I will definitely eat here again!
Dinner was fantastic. Portions we're plenty for two people. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
My husband and I went to Sagres restaurant Sunday March 20th. When we entered we were asked if we had a reservation by the host. We told him... no we didn't ....and his responce was that we needed a reservation, not how long we would have to wait, which would have been a nicer way to respond.
