Based on my experience at many different Portuguese restaurants, I found The Clipper to be ok. Sauces weren't as flavorful as some other restaurants in the area and generally our dinners seemed overcooked. The atmosphere is almost like being in Portugal though. It was very reminiscent of the cafes and small restaurants there. Prices were very reasonable and the staff accommodating, but it was too busy for only two servers on a Saturday night. I'd still give them another shot to check consistency...
This restaurant use to be good. They must have a new chef and the food is awful. They no longer serve lapas which I loved coming here for. I asked for a red snapper ( not what I got ) and it was awful. If you had me close my eyes and put some fish in my mouth I could not tell you what I was eating. The fish was not fresh and had 0 flavor. Very disappointed. The only thing good here was the fresh cheese and the waiter he is always pleasant. Hope they switch cook soon. I will never return again. Very disappointed they use to be so good.
It wasn't bad but I was expecting a much more tasteful steak and fish fillets.

Went to go eat in the dining room there was 4 people sitting at 2 tables the waiter asked me to go sit at the bar because I was alone i don't drink alcohol don't want to go sit with a bunch of people drinking alcohol loud i just wanted to sit down and enjoy my food shame on you clipper
