1 star because the staff were great and a additional star for the calamari being delicious.The silverware and area were dirty and I understand the test if time but I never complain about things needing to be cleaner like I have here.The drinks were limited not only by the menu but by the drinks available behind the bar. I wouldn't order any drinks off the menu and I usually grab a pair or more or expresso martini's and taste from all over I actually opted against it here. They just didn't taste great.The calamari was delicious and fresh and so lightly crusted and still held together I would go as far to say it was cooked perfectly. The old fashioned seafood chowder was more of a watered down soup the fried shrimp plate was cooked good and for the clam strips where so so.I won't come back here just came to give the place my review and opinion while I was in the area.
On 4/3 I ordered take out and asked for 3 steak tip Caesar salads and a midway sampler at 4:30 pm I picked up my order at 5:00 and had a glass of wine at the bar while waiting at 5:00 pm. I brought my order home for my family at about 5:30 pm. I noticed at 6:00 pm after I walked my dog and got settled that my order was incorrect. I thought I was missing the midway sampler so I called and they put me on hold come to find out I was missing the steak tip salad which I realized after they picked up after having me on hold. He completely dismissed me the owner who I called back an would only give me a first name “Fred” and said he could not give me the last name. He told me he put the bag together and it was correct and I’m going back and fourth on my order when I was just reading what was on the packaging. And I was at the bar a cook had brought the order out to me personally. He dismissed me again and hung up on me. Completely unprofessional I worked as a waitress for 8 years and was taught the customer “was always right” and to show hospitality and now I’m a nurse of 8 years I don’t need anything free which is what I told him. We give them a lot of business as well as all my family and friends. And this is truly disappointing and disrespectful to be hung up on and tell me quote on quote “that I am lying”. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this restaurant that has been around a long time to anyone. After working two full time jobs I don’t need thisI am truly disappointed and as I told the manager “Fred” I am not one to complain.
Came here for dinner on a Friday night and had a great time, met some new friends, and the food and staff were great !
Can't wait to go back again! Pleasant atmosphere with perfectly spaced seating options. Friendly, flexible bartender served us dinners and drinks on Valentine's Day. Liked their menu selections.
Accidentally went to the wrong midway some how... Staff was friendly but didn't end up staying
Visiting from NY and we enjoyed every bite. The horseshoe shaped bar/ dining area with booth's all around was very inviting. Bob was the gentleman who severed us at the bar. He deserves a %50 ? tip if you ever get the pleasure. A######
Will go back there for a Green Apple Martini. Too few places make them. Food was good. Burger the best.

2nd year getting Thanksgiving dinner from Midway! I'm super fussy and have food allergies! The food is as close to "your" homemade as you can get. Bob Jenks is the most caring person....so accommodating! Delicious food, ample amounts, fantastic pricing and more food for tomorrow!! Wether you get food to go or eat in, if you want great American food .... GO !!
Went there today with 3 others. The food and service was terrific! Broiled Scrod, one of the best; Grilled Pear & Blue Chees Salad, nothing left; Fish & Chips, nothing left; Tips, again, nothing left! What more would want. Typical neighborhood gathering place. Go and enjoy.
