What a light/bright tasting meal. Unique, creative and delicious. We had a nice bottle of spanish white wine. We had the roasted carrots, which brought out amazing flavors and unique way to serve them. I have the tuna tartar, and my husband had the cavatappi -both just amazing dishes. The biscuits are mouthwatering and should not be missed. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening and so there was not too much noise. This is a must go to restaurant in the Boston area. Menu refreshes regularly.
Love Urban Hearth; great food and wine. Service was very slow on recent visit and menu limited by 730pm
I have eaten here a half a dozen times/ food is fabulous but tonight something was up with the service. Over an hour between courses. We were taking friends out for their anniversary at what is one of our favorite restaurants and weâre kind of mortified by lack of explanation for why the kitchen was so slow. Hoping it was just some kind of anomaly these evening because frankly a restaurant cannot charge what this restaurant does and fail to deliver dinner in a timely manner. Whole evening left a bad impression on us and, no, two gratis biscuits along with our well over four hundred dollar check just doesnât cut it. Buyer beware if this is a trend.
Urban Hearth is such a gem. The food is creative, seasonal, and delicious. The cocktails are thoughtfully crafted, infused with flavor, and delicious. The service is warm and friendly--it combines the feel of a neighborhood joint with a special occasion restaurant. The staff is really what puts this place over the top for me--every time we go we are welcomed like old friends and treated to a wonderful experience. Care is evident in every element of the experience.
We celebrated our 51st anniversary at Urban Hearth last night. First time there. Had the 5-course tasting menu at the counter, and enjoyed talking with Erin. A small, no thrills restaurant with spectacular food and great service. We will definitely return
We chose to sit indoors on a hot night, and the air conditioner wasn't working. Most everyone else was sitting at tables outside on Mass Ave, but it was still noisey on the street at 7 and my husband didn't want to sit there. We were with another couple, who were kind enough to dine inside. I ordered two appetizers--a vegetable of the day which was a green bean with anchovies and a sauce, and a grilled peach, cornbread, cheese concoction. The green beans were disappointing. But the peach dish was very good! A metal bar protruded from the seat against the wall and I kept moving around to avoid it, as we were sitting with another couple and I didn't want to get too close to my friend. It was clear that everyone in the restaurant was working very hard, and I respect that! I asked for a simple salad and was told there was none to be had. I don't know if I would go back. I guess I prefer what's called "clean food" these days. But the friends I was with seemed to really enjoy it.
Lovely experience, fabulous and creative food and drinks, terrific service!
Superb meal and service in a pleasant outdoor setting.
Food was delicious and innovative. Sidewalk dining was next to a bus stop, which dampened the vibe. Waiter was excellent and helpful. And I loved the flavors.
The food is exquisite! Very charming ambiance. The service is top notch with just the right level of advice and check in cadence through the meal. I highly recommend coming here and plan on returning myself!
