What a gem. Red House has been quiely sitting there on Winthrop Street in the midst of Harvard Square for years and is a unique venue of an old home with a lot of charm, warmth, and comfort. The outstanding Botanical Collection Cocktails from the Conservatory Bar are inventive, refreshing, and delicious. The food is funky and flavorful, including very crispy Calamari with a flavorful dipping sauce with a kick Street Corn that just explodes with flavor in your mouth, and the very best Lobster Rolls amazing fresh French Fries, amongst many other tasty selections. Great comfortable place to hang out with friends adn enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere with wonderful food and drinks, and good service. Can't wait to go back!
Wonderful evening. Would love it if they added cool mock tails. Otherwise food is delicious and patio is nice.
Chose the place for the great reviews for lobster rolls. Ambiance in historic district did not disappoint. The meal, another story. We all understand the complications of finding staff and servers to meet the expectations of customers, but a sandwich that sat under a heat lamp to the point of being completely dried out was disappointing. Ordered chowder that was forgotten (that happens), just cancelled the order when the entrees finally arrived. Asked for a few condiments (salt for fries) took forever. One special order roll was delivered as âplainâ so their solution was just to bring out the 2 extra sauces that were left off the sandwich (cold by now). If we had the experience to do again , we would look for somewhere else to go.

their brussels sprouts are amazing! I had the the lobster flatbread and enjoyed it tremendously. brought smoe home since it was a large portion. My date had a lobster roll which she enjoyed too
The 4 of us loved our meals. Our waiter was fabulous. And we loved the raspberry vinaigrette!
A reasonable choice when you need a place to eat in Harvard Square. The food is just okay but the location is convenient.
Service was okay. Food was also just okay. Good to be in the small outdoor space on a warm night. Have been there a handful of times over the past 5-10 years. Seems to be not as good overall as I remembered it being.
