So delicious!! We ordered seafood tempura udon, katsu don, chicken pop and fried oyster. They are all super tasty!! Fried oyster is a must-have :-)

hole in the wall shop ran by a cute couple serving comforting Japanese foodalways a pleasure when I visitmiso soup is delicate but soul warmingtempura is light and crispymeals are guilty free

Ordered "Jumbo Pork Cutlet", "Shrimp Tempura Udon" and "Karaage Chicken". The lady was rude and the food was not very good. Baited by 4.6 stars but I don't recommend it unless you go with extremely low expectations of service and quality.Make sure to tell the lady that you're dining in or taking out or she'll take out her anger out on you. Good luck.

Not badIf you really want to have Japanese dishes, you can go

The curry katsu is really good!

I absolutely adore this place! The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly!! 1000000/10

A true no-frills gem for budget Japanese eats. They might not be fancy or avant-garde, but they do the classics and they do them well. Their pork katsu was crispy with a familiar but delicious vegetable curry with a mild kick. Very reasonable for the price & portion. Shame to the more expensive shops I've visited that can't even match this quality. If I had a Japanese comfort food craving, I'd stop here in a heart beat.

The best Japanese comfort food in the Boston metro area. Everything is amazing. ?

I ordered food from tampopo online and I got the shrimp tempura with soba and selected the option for sauce, but there was no sauce. It was the most plain unappealing dish I’ve eaten as of late. Not sure if the sauce was forgotten or if it was supposed to be that plain, but either way I won’t be ordering from them again.

Quaint family-run joint. Food is simple, tasty, fresh — far closer to the kind of food you might actually have in Japan compared to the run-of-the-mill ‘Japanese’ restaurant in Boston. One of the owners helped my friend an I unwrap our onigiris. Wonderful!
