Food was excellent, service was excellent. We had reserved outdoor seating, but since it was extremely hot, we were offered an indoor seat if we wanted. Very thoughtful.

I always have a great experience at Sulmona. The place is great, the staff goes out of their way to be helpful and of course the food and beverage never disappoints. I look forward to my next visit.

The hospitality and professional service provided a relaxing backdrop to the delicious and perfectly prepared scallops, steak and traditional pasta entrees served at our table. Excellent wine pairings. We are looking forward to our next gathering at Sulmona.
First of all, I want to note the noise level. The summer veranda stands on the METRO Shaft. Trains are constantly rushing by and this sound drowns out everyone. It is impossible to be. The mood is ruined, the day is ruined. Water is poured at room temperature on a hot day. I meet this for the first time. The apetizers were delicious, the pasta just disgusting. Overcooked, the sauce has no taste at all, the shells are hard. Pasta with meatballs was edible. No more. The pizza was also edible. Nowadd to that the constant sound from the shaft and you get the whole picture. When I asked for a check, after 20 minutes the waiter came up and offered dessert with a tired face. If you will not work in your restaurant, I think you will soon lose customers. Although what kind of work can be done if the veranda is on the subway shaft.
The place was nearly empty but the sirens, Red Line, and street traffic made it very noisy. Tuna appetizer was terrific as was the pasta.
Food was mediocre at best, not worth the price - $200 for 3 of us - 5 cocktails and 3 main dishes (no appetizers, no salads, no desserts). We sat outside, which was nice to have that option, but, every 3 minutes a train went by (underneath the sidewalk where we sat) and we couldn't hear each other. Definitely in the category of "Once and done" - we won't go back.
