Wonderful food! Great atmosphere
The food is excellent -- interesting and flavorful. Each outdoors table is surrounded by a canvas tent-like structure, with a sun umbrella outside the entrance, and a circulating fan within each table's enclosure. We were there on a 90 degree day and it was shaded and remarkably comfortable. Some time ago we were there on a cool day when it was raining, and that worked well too. You're on Mass Ave, but there's a sidewalk and bike lane between you and the traffic, and the tables feel quiet and private. Kudos to whoever set up the outdoors seating! (Indoors seating is also well-spaced with tall canvas dividers between tables.)
Appetizers were large and tasty. We had the crab cake, tuna crudo, and pork belly. BUT, the entrees were not good at all. My boyfriendâs scallops were few in number and VERY salty. Almost inedible. My motherâs Campanelle pasta with lobster was disgusting. The pasta was so overdone that it was swollen and mushy. And there was maybe a tablespoon of lobster in the entire dish. I had the steak and it was tasteless and way over cooked. They covered it with blue cheese and thatâs the only reason I could eat any of it. My dadâs schnitzel looked good and he said it was just ok. Not much taste. My advice, stick to appetizers if you choose to dine here!
The service and the food were fantastic. We showed up early and they got us a table anyway. It's not a bargain but you get what you pay for.
This was my third visit and each time the food had been delicious. The menu is varied and interesting. I highly recommend the fried oysters and the scallops.
My partner and I enjoyed a delicious meal here! #1 thing to mention: if you like bread (and letâs be honest, who doesnât?) the Cheddar Thyme Biscuit with honey butter was super yummy. Iâm still thinking about it. My partner got the steak, that included a very fun fried potato cube, and lemony greens. I got the Oyster Mushroom Arepa, which was incredibly tasty. We finished the meal with the Earl Grey Panna Cotta, which was topped with the sweetest kumquats Iâve ever had. So good. The wait-human was a sweetheart and big help on a nice bottle of wine as well. Overall very enjoyable.
This place is a real gem. The food, the wine, the service, and the ambience (at least for outdoor seating) were outstanding. Canât wait to go again!
The isolated tented outdoor seating was very nice, private and had a fan to keep you cool. Service was great and food was delicious.
Incredible food that was very flavorful and portion sizes were great. Service was very good. She knew just when to check in and the choreography between getting the apps and main dishes delivered was perfect. A must do if you are in the area.
The food was really really delicious and of high quality ingredients!!! Wonderful wine list with some unusual and interesting offerings! Our waiter Jesse was super nice and attentive! Would love more candle light on the tables for ambiance⦠will go back for sure The porchetta appetizer with sauerkraut was a succulent, unctuous flavorful piece of meat !!! Highly recommend
