Roxy's + A4cade is a great speakeasy in Central Cambridge. It is one of the few one's with an arcade in the back that has all your classic games. The bar throws itself into the nerdy theme with Star Wars, Doctor Who and Bob's Burgers themed glasses as well as nerdy cocktails. The food is not too shabby with the truffle tater tots and the burger being my personal favourites. But overall the real draw for Roxys is the vibe. Make sure to get here before 8pm to guarantee entry otherwise you will be waiting outside.

Food was wonderful. We were a little put back with the fact that there was no way to wash hands after using the bathroom as the sink wasn’t working. We notified the person behind the register and we were met with a should shrug and a “it’s ok. We have hand sanitizer”. Kind of put a bad taste in your mouth when you realized the employees weren’t able to use soap and water after using the bathroom.

Grilled cheese and burger specialty place that is slightly reminiscent of the old school cafeterias but with a modern twist.Came here to try some classic grilled cheese and tomato soup combo and the double fried chicken sandwich. There was nothing special about the grilled cheese, but the burger was surprisingly good. Truffle tots also had a generous amount of truffle scent, and it was a nice complement to the roasted tomato soup.

I'm a Brazilian teacher. I flew to Boston to take part of a workshop. I was walking around with a friend, and we saw Roxy's Grilled Cheese. We decided to eat there. My friend and I waited in the line for a long time to get in. When we were about to get in, we found out that the line was only to people who wanted to play arcade. Ok. We ordered, sat, and ate. I decided to take a look at the arcade room. I didn't want to play or so. Just wanted to take a look. Well, as I opened the arcade room's door, this small, bearded guy, chased me, saying that I couldn't cross the door. My friend, who speaks English better, tried to help me, explaining to this guy that everything was ok, that I just wanted to take a look etc. This guy was extremely rude, saying "shhh" to my friend, as if he was a child or a dog. He and the other guy who was organizing the line (wearing an octupus hat) removed us from the local. This other guy, who saw us in the line, instead of being reasonable, preferred to give cynical answers to us. Everything could be solved through a simple, civilized talk. These guys need to learn how to deal with people. It was a very bad and frustrating experience.

Really good for bar food of the greasy and fried variety. The grilled cheese is cool but could be more interesting in my opinion. I don't usually like tots but the more-than-hint of truffle here had me reaching for more. The best part, of course, are the games! More places like this should exist to keep us entertained and off the streets.

Definitely an overrated place which skates by with flashy arcade games and a “speakeasy” gimmick which is just walking through doors that look like freezer doors.First impressions of the place were rough. We had to stand in line for about 20minutes, which was fine, they can’t control capacity. The bouncer working 2/19/22 harassed us for basically no reason, then let us in. I’m not sure what the problem was— we weren’t inebriated and all had our IDs. It seemed like a power-trip to have an excuse to yell at us before letting us inside. It’s not a good practice for the business to have some guy give such a bad first impression. We went in and it was very crowded. The games were a pretty reasonable price, but all relatively limited in section— either pinball machines or old old old cabinets for the most part. It was very difficult to find somewhere to order at the bar or anywhere to sit. We stayed maybe 25 minutes before heading out.Not worth the time standing in line for sure.

Lots of fun to be had but definitely gets crowded quickly. Better quality games than at Versus (according to my friend who has been to both) but it gets to be a tight squeeze as the night goes on. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday and that was perfect. By 8pm there was a line outside and we were ready to head out because there was also a line at almost ever game as well. Would recommend hitting early or on a weeknight.Oh! And the Oreo milkshakes were awesome! And the grilled cheese sandwiches do not disappoint!

Great grilled cheese and truffle fries. Know there is an arcade in the back that I plan to go to sometime soon.

One of my favorite spots in Boston. So much to look at and do. So many secrets to discover. Amazing food & drinks. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area! A one-of-a-kind gem ?
